Don Cornelius: Dead Of Apparent Suicide

Soul Train creator and former host Don Cornelius has died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Los Angeles police. He was 75. Officers arrived at his home at about 4:00 a.m. local time and found his body, and no foul play is suspected.
Cornelius stopped hosting Soul Train in 1993, and it went off the air in 2006. –Andrew Richter

Chris Brown: Performing At The Grammys

Chris Brown will be performing Sunday’s Grammy Awards.This comes three years after his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna, which took place the night of the same event.But this time around he may have redemption — in addition to his performance, his album F.A.M.E. is up for three Grammys, including Best R&B Album.
Rihanna will also perform some cuts from her album Loud, which is up for four Grammys.
The Grammys air live from L.A. on Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS. –Rahim Wright

Asap Rocky: Announces U.k. Tour

Harlem rapper ASAP Rocky is heading to the U.K. for a four-stop tour. The shows kick off at London’s Electric Ballroom on June 5th before heading to Birmingham and Manchester, and finishing up at Glasgow’s Arches venue on June 9th. –Rahim Wright

If you were a fan Kanye West’s short-film Runaway, you’re in for a treat, because he’s reportedly shooting another concept project, this one set in the Middle East.According to the New York Observer, ‘Ye has sent staff to the Persian Gulf to scout locations and figure out the legalities of a possible shoot next month.
The aim and plot of the story are still under wraps, but one source says, “Kanye is looking to bridge the cultural divide and break misconceptions.” –Rahim Wright

Justin Bieber: Looking For Lil Wayne To Believe

Justin Bieber has revealed that he’s been in the lab with Lil’ Wayne working on his upcoming album, Believe. The Bieb Tweeted on Wednesday, “Good time in the studio last night. [My] big brother came through — and when I say big brother, I mean Lil’ Wayne. Believe it.”
