Kanye’s love-hate affair with twitter continues; he’s back on the social networking site after a brief sabbatical. His last tweet before his most recent ones were on January 7th. He tweeted single word tweets – truth, beauty, minimalism, emotion, soul, awesomeness, functionality.
Obviously he admires these attributes wherever they fit. What is functional music BTW? Doesn’t seem to matter for his more than 9.1 million fans on twitter. And who does Yeezy follow? Why, his beloved Kim of course!
The artist had deleted all the tweets he had made last year. I guess, if you’re a celeb then your fans will put up with such idiosyncrasies with ease.
I love Twitter, lets you peep into people’s minds and the kind of power celebs wield over their followers. I don’t want to go into the right and wrong of the issue, but Game surely felt that FOX News contributor conservative Michelle Malkin was very wrong in saying that he was exploiting the “Jesus” theme for his Jesus Piece LP. If you read the tweets, you can see that Ms Malkin is one feisty customer.
Maybe Malkin is entitled to her opinion, and Game asking his fans to boycott Fox over this does come across as extreme. Sigh, the beef spilleth over, from within the hip hop community to with journalists. BTW, how’s the LP doing?
Barely a few days after a twitter spat with Floyd Mayweather, fif has moved on to another quarry and this time it is Rick Ross. Florida is Rozay’s home state and the artist headlined this year’s Homecoming concert at Florida A&M.
Pics showing poor attendance prompted a slew of tweets from fif that alternated between poking fun and offering (faux) sympathy for Rick Ross.
“When was this?RT @Nai_soFierce: Cc:@50Cent RT @Nai_soFierce: Rick Ross concert -http://instagr.am/p/R4J3OKPJ7B/,” Fif tweeted November 11th.
“That not his fault bad promotions,of the show or maybe ,is it over ? DAMN!!! Hold up I think I see puffy in the crowed. SMSAUDIO”
“In miami RT @Ac11204: @50cent it’s was tonite miami fl ,no one showed , how he think he going to be like my boy 50 lololololol”
“thats FAMU boy oh boy fat man no love at HOME?SMSaudio”
“My man from chicago just told me the GD’s on da boy. Man forget the show, that’s not the PROBLEM. SMSaudio”
“I just saw that video. I think they just squeezing him,he might be alright. Just gotta spit a hot 16 for em. LMAO #SMSaudio” (50 Cent’s Twitter)
Rick Ross on his part made it a point to thank his fans for attending the show.
Hip Hop stars took to social media in a big way and let their glee show; a whole lot of them is over the moon that Obama is going to the White House for four more years.Check out what some of the stars had to say!
Diddy wrote – “It feels even better the second time around!!!! 4 More Years B*tches! celebrating with @JDior_ and @1rube,”.
Lady GaGa got in her words from Columbia – “I JUST GOT OFF STAGE IN COLUMBIA!! CONGRATULATIONS MR. PRESIDENT @BarackObama We are so proud to be American tonight! YES!!! YES! YES!!” Gaga Tweeted to her 31 million followers. “We just couldn’t be happier my goodness, the joy when freedom prevails. And #condragulations DENVER on your cannabis legislation. shante YOU STAY.”
Donald Trump felt otherwise and wrote “We can’t let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided! Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us,” “This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy! Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble…like never before. Our nation is a once great nation divided! The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy. Hopefully the House of Representatives can hold our country together for four more years…stay strong and never give up!”
Gucci Mane’s been practicing his hooks and his upper cuts; somehow the situation reminds me of the scene in Enter the Dragon when Jim Kelly calls the evil Han a character straight out of a comic books and asks him if he’s been practicing.
Any way, my digressions apart, the rapper tweeted a couple of days back “I’m challenging any rapper friend or foe in the ring to a boxing match. Put yo money up. Who got hands not raps. Who wants the challenge,” and then followed it up with “All Deez P*ssy a** rappers” “The proceeds from the ring will go to charities. You scary a** Rappers”.
Why doesn’t he just switch trade and enter some WBA / WBC competition? Who’s gonna take up his challenge? Is fif listening? So many questions, stay tuned and we’ll let you know the answers as things unfold.
The Soulja Boy and Bow Wow feud has a history to it and twitter has been the battleground in the past for these two. Soulja has reignited the beef by taking potshots at the 106 & Park host Bow Wow by saying that “Keep it trill. Bow wow can’t f*** wit me no more.” He tweeted “I’ll be on 106 next week dropping off my new music video,” “We gonna see whats good wit it. Bang bang.”
Bow Wow refused to be drawn into this new war of words and simply wished Soulja good luck for his new video.
What’s your take, dear reader on this whole thing? Is it cooked up, is it real? Is Soulja the real deal or is he just a wannabe copying styles with no swag of his own?
Shyne and Game were involved in a war of words that threatened to take on bigger proportions – of a turf war; you know east coast vs west coast. The reason for the verbal missiles that the two gents aimed at each other via twitter was that Shyne didn’t think that Kendrick Lamar’s debut album “Good Kid, Maad City” was that good, in fact he called it trash. And that started it.
Imagine, two guys slugging it out on a virtual ring without any real stake in the issue, I mean, I may be wrong but that’s my understanding. Lamar who had the choice to stand up for himself choose to sit the storm out. Hmmm.
The last word went to Nipsey Hussle, another west coast rapper who tweeted – “If Shyne ever make it bac to the states…somebody tell cuz his west coast pass is revoked,”
A couple of days back French Montana had spoken in an interview on what he thought was holding back 50 Cent’s music career. And he let slip that it was highly unlikely that 50 Cent could touch 10 million sales on current form.
The interview, and apparently public nods to what French said, kind of irritated fif and he did what he had done at the time of the Gunplay fiasco. He took to twitter and let the world know about his point of view. The point is, that to most folks out there, his attitude only kind of reinforces the point French made…about picking up beefs.
50 Cent tweeted “French Montana you ain’t Sh** boy. You out your league talking about me you hoe.i read your little interview what the f*** is you high,” “French your Sh** so weak you never had a song by your self fool. Ain’t nobody’s waiting to hear your verse. Girl.”
“Do you realize this fool @Frenchmontana hasn’t sold one record and talking about sales,” “I’m not tweeting about this little fool No more. I’m a see him and he gonna explain that’s it.”
The theme of 50 Cent’s latest tweets is how to stop self-abuse, i.e. stop wanking, do not offer your seed on the altar of onan…etc. You get the idea? What made him want to do this? We don’t know but we’ll have that on twitter too, soon. In the meanwhile, this is what 50 Cent tweeted –
“Step 1,” he began tweeting. “To avoid the urge to masturbate, stop going to porn sites. Step 2. Make a conscious decision not to turn your head after people walk by you. Step 3. Do not go to strip clubs. Step 4. Do not look at lust filled magazines.”
Next, we could be readings some pointers on the beneficial health effects of conserving your seed. Wanna take bets on what the next 50 Cent album will be on?
