Ricky Hil hasn’t been heard of in a while but he’s back with an ostensibly instigatory title to his mixtape. It’s taken two years in the making and in these two years the artist has compiled songs to go with the track title “SYLDD”; that’s made up from the initials of Support Your Local Drug Dealer. Of course, in all likelihood there’s a moral to the tales in here and a twist.
Check out the artwork and the tracklist. This comes out today.
Lil Wayne had this interesting revelation to make about the cover art of his upcoming album, “I Am Not a Human Being II”. The album has a release date of March 26th.
“[Kanye] said, you know, man, let me do your cover. I saw the cover and I approved it. He had an explanation behind it – he said, he chose the moth butterfly thing because it has so many different stages of life, and it goes through so many forms and changes, and no one can figure it out, and it’s always beautiful. At a time it’s ugly and at a time it’s beautiful too. And that’s me.”
Curren$y aka Andretti Corleone aka Andretti Corleone is a Black-Italian rapper from New Orleans. He’s come up with another mixtape that debuts on the 24th of December, it is titled 3 Piece Set and we have the artwork of this album for you. Take a look, can’t explain the folds on the cover, we don’t know what that is about.
Maybe it is in sync with the artist’s type of rap which he describes as “lifestyle rap,” and frequently raps about day-to-day happenings in his life that include fast women and their company when he’s stoned ad hot wheels that he likes to collect. Dang, if I had a lifestyle like that I’d be rapping about it in my sleep and while brushing my teeth.
Anyway, the tracklist is not out yet, a video might hit the bandwidths soon. We’ll keep you posted.
Karim Kharbouch has had all of us on tenterhooks regarding the arrival of his debut album “Excuse My French”…oh, please excuse my faux pas for not introducing you to Karim; that’s the real name of our Morocco-raised brother French Montana.
And while Mac and Cheese are good, too much of ‘em causes hardening of the arteries and we want something different. The Bad Boy/MMG/Interscope project that was set to release in July this year and has been pushed back a number of times has now received what should hopefully be a final release date. Artists you can expect to hear on the LP include Kanye West, The Weeknd, Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, Diddy, Rick Ross, Max B and then some more.
This is what French Montana tweeted #excusemyfrench march 12 juuhearddd haannnn.

Quentin is known to do his own thing, I mean its a jump from Dick Dale to rap but with Rozay, Jamie Foxx, and John Legend on hand, we’re sure that we’re in for some truly dope tracks.

The official video of Wiz Khalifa’s track “The Bluff” is out and we can now enjoy the rapper and his pal Cam’ron telling us about their lifestyle, the money they have, and such assorted information. The blokes wear furs and are spitting bars in a laundromat.
The audio, if you remember, came out last week. This one is an I.D. Labs-produced track and Wiz’s fans will find echoes of Kush and Orange Juice here.
The track is from Wiz’s sophomore album ONIFC which releases December 4th. Of the album, the rapper said – “You can just expect it to be more musical. All the elements that you’re used to getting from a quote-unquote ‘Wiz project,’” “You’re gonna get every last one of those elements, whereas I feel like the first album lacked some of those elements.”
Big Boi’s long-awaited LP, his sophomore solo project ‘Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors’ gets pushed back by a month and more. It will now come out in December, on the 11th. It has been two years since Big Boi’s last album. That was the well-acclaimed Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.
That’s a long time between two releases but the Southern rap legend obviously believes in taking time to come up with a quality product. In the meanwhile he has revealed what the album cover art is going to look like.
BTW, the previous album Sir Lucious was also delayed by two years. Check out the video of “Mama Told Me” featuring Kelly Rowland.
Peedi Crakk drops this crackling new track sharing space with Redman. It’s titled “This That Shit”. It is slated to be the first single on Peedi’s new mixtape CF5: The Cocaine Edition which drops November 23rd. The number has been produced by Jahlil Beats.
Check out the video, and tell us if the sound by Beats has an old school ring to it. Tell us if this gets you, can you ride with Peedi Crakk on this? Coz’ he’s the kind of artist that can have you undecided with his work.
If the rest of the songs on the album are as dope as this one, then it goes on my pen drive.
Catch Soulja Boy rapping “There go Soulja”, the number is a part of his upcoming album “Young and Flexin”. Seems like Soulja is working hard to make himself one of the flavors of the holiday season, be it with inflammatory tweets or album releases.
The album drops November 6th. Does it contain a number like “Crank That”, which catapulted the artist to rapping stardom and by 2010 the chap had $7 million in his bank. Take a look at the video and tell us what you think about it.
