Kevin Jack – Forever Young & Restless EP

Texas based rapper / songwriter Kevin Jack presents his outstanding new Forever Young & Reckless EP, an impressively fresh amalgamation of hip hop, electro and pop.

What happens when you mix brash youth over energetic electronic pop based tunes, and sprinkle in some hip hop? You get the artist known as Kevin Jack. Instantly recognizable with his affinity for over the top fashion, dope kicks, and elaborate stage shows, Jack has garnered major fan fair and critical praise for his ability to pen introspective records like Dreaming of Darfur (John Lennon Hip Hop Song of The Year) to party anthems like “We Pourin’ Up”. The rapper/songwriter’s unique musical identity is expressed through a melodic melting pot that boasts a flamboyant, larger than life sound and dares to push the envelope, while expressing the angst and rebellious attitude of youth in revolt.

Jack’s songs have previously been featured on MTV, VH1, CW, and a host of other television networks, while just recently he and his band L.A.T.A landed the theme song for the Oxygen network’s newly green-lit reality series, “Brooklyn 11223″.

Having toured with the likes of J. Cole, Big Sean, Pac Div, Sean Kingston, Wiz Khalifa , Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, and rock icon Little Richard, the up and comer has a pretty impressive resume. Touting accolades such as the John Lennon Hip Hop song of the year, and being a Finalist for Maxwell corporation’s Song of the year, Jack appears poised to bring his spirited anthems and rowdy sound to the mainstream.

Forever Young & Reckless EP is the brand new EP from Jack, and features 6 superbly engineered electro-rap records comprised of countless musical elements. The highly rated artist’s ability truly shines through from beginning to end – with Jack pulling in and merging vibes from across the musical board (including hip hop, house, dub step, electro, rock and pop), – to present what is likely to be one of the best debuts you’ll hear from any independent artist this year. With a keen ear for creating effortlessly catchy hook lines, Jack has undeniable commercial appeal, yet his ability to deliver genuine, honest music is what really raises this enigmatic artist above the rest, and Forever Young & Reckless acts as the perfect opening note.

Sullee J’s “Voice of the People”

Opening with Charlie Chaplin’s final speech in The Great Dictator,  “Voice of the People” is a moving visual for a thought provoking track. The song “Speaks on the various issues of society today and was made to help enlighten the ears of the listener. The sad reality is that many people, especially children today are without healthy living conditions. These are tough conditions that people tend to ignore,” said Sullee J.

Director: Rick Wayne from Underscore_Films

This is the definition of what I do. This is the epitome of who I am. This is Sullee J, and what Justice means. “Voice of The People” speaks on the various issues of society today, and was made to help enlighten the ears of the listener. The sad reality is that many people, especially children today, are without healthy living conditions. These are tough issues that society seems to ignore. At times, we might not feel like we have much, but we have enough to get by. Everybody needs help, especially the helpless! The idea behind Saint Christopher Children’s Home is to assist in the provision of a building to house neglected children. These children are mainly abuse victims, neglected or abandoned children, orphans, or those placed there by court order. I told you I will better this world, whether you believe it or not. I will continue to pursue my dreams and work hard toward generating an interest in doing good whether you agree or not. I believe in living to make others smile.

King L (formerly known as King Louie) Drops a New Track “Val Venis”

Chicago up-and-comer King L (Louie) has been on the grind, most recently wrapping the shooting for the brand new video of his latest single “Val Venis.” His latest single, named for the lovably narcissistic WWE wrestler, is a showcase of lyrical dexterity, King L rattling off intricate couplets they way someone might tell you what they did with their weekend early one Monday morning. He’s even gone so far as to create a dance for the song, sexy only in its ridiculousness, especially when paired with L’s million dollar smile.

Currently putting together music for his Epic debut, King L splits his time between the city he owns and the country just beginning to embrace him. Though he’s already got multiple albums worth of unreleased music, he continues to stock pile songs in the interest of delivering the best possible product to fans new and old. “I’m still getting better, learning new shit, bettering my craft as we go,” he says. “That’s every day.“ (via Facebook)

Dan Status – “Return to Glory” (ft Jon BlaQ) | Free Mp3

Artist: Dan Status (Producer) ft Jon BlaQ
Genre: Hip Hop, Rap
Pittsburgh, PA & Winston-Salem, N.C.
“Return To Glory”

About the Song:

The voice of Hip Hop has been muted. A once rebellious music, is now repetitive theme music of mind numbing non-sence. Enter “Return To Glory”. Jon BlaQ and Dan Status once again team-up to show and prove that Hip Hop is alive and well. Standing strong in faith when all is looking bleak, is the message Jon Blaq paints with his lyrical command of the mic. Not many Emcees fulfill the audiences needs of lyrical content of hope and confidence, that they can relate to. Jon Blaq is the new breed of emcee that crafts life and faith in his songs. Dan Status brings the noise, of boom bap mixed with horns, strings and heavy bass. The beat is powerful and moving. Giving a feeling of strength and inspiration to the ears. Together Jon Blaq and Dan Status are leading Hip Hop back to the golden age. Return To Glory.

Video: Game Interview By Jenny Boom Boom

Game, entrepreneur, rapper, and record producer called in on Jenny Boom Boom’s show and the two talked on a number of things. Most prominent was the talk on how Jesus Piece was progressing; the album, his fifth studio album, has been in the news from the days before August when it was still titled FIVE.

This is probably the first time that Game has revealed the names of those being featured on the album – Nicki Minaj, DJ Premier, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Scarface, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Tyga. Check out the video, and hear him take names. Jesus Piece has all the makings of a smashing compilation video.
