The State of Georgia is coming after Nas and will be garnishing earnings from his lucrative tours, to the tune of $1,083,435; these are back taxes from the years 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010.
The State of Georgia has already filed legal documents to get things moving, in fact, the Georgia Department of Revenue has already obtained the requisite legal permission to force Live Nation, promoters of Nas’s tour with Lauryn Hill to garnish his wages till the debt is cleared.
And this is apart from what the rapper owes the federal government. While Nas’s reps insist that the matter is closed, the GDR is firm that the case is still open.
