Over at Ballerstatus, TRUTH Minista Paul Scott has come up with a searing and scathing piece on the state of hiphop today; he holds no punches and forces hiphop lovers to take stock that maybe we have indeed traveled far from the days of pure hiphop that gave way to gangsta rap and then what the writer dismisses as kiddie porn.
Paul also tries to dissect the situation in terms of the factors that have led to this situation where “the rap industry is run by spoiled little brats with a million bucks, but 50 Cent brains.”
In a telling comparison with rock music, the writer fumes that rock music fans have a far greater respect for the legacy of that genre than fans and promoters of rap.
