Empress Haircare Products has filed a lawsuit against Diddy and Sean John for their use of the name Empress on their new perfume. According to the haircare company, Mr. John tried to file a trademark for the name knowing that a trademark was already filed.Apparently, they had been in communication about the name, and refused to give it over to Diddy, so he tried to go around them.
Empress Haircare would now like to be compensated because they claim they are losing out on money because Diddy is marketing to the same consumer base.
