John Legend has taken to Twitter to speak on a soulful ballad called “Hey Girl” that popped up on the ‘Net yesterday. He writes, “‘Hey Girl’ is like from 2002, not sure how this turned up. I was hired to sing it for a songwriter’s demo.”
Presumably, this isn’t the same “Hey Girl” that Legend recorded with Estelle a few years ago. It looks like this one won’t be featured on any of his upcoming projects. –Rahim Wright
