There are tons of reasons we at Hip Hop Press love Yelawolf: he’s creative, an awesome rapper, and now he has released an interview on V-nasty and why he would punch the lights out of anyone who uses the N word around him. Being from Alabama, he knows that racial ties between blacks and whites have been going on for so long and still haven’t gone away completely. He doesn’t take it lightly, especially since he does Hip Hop music and understands how special it is to the people that created it- black people. He wants people to not embarrass white people by dropping the N bomb.
It’s funny when he says, “your not gonna embarrass me around my people with that.” Yelawolf is smart by getting the black community to embrace his views on the N word and how black people don’t want anyone saying that word other than- you guessed it, black people. With such a touchy subject as hand, what else can you expect? The N word will always be used by some white rapper for publicity, it’s just too easy. V-nasty is one of the worst rappers out right now, and most wouldn’t even consider her music as rap or Hip Hop music. Either way, this new school of artists are wild and creative just like the generation before it.
Lastly, Yelawolf seems to remember his mom slapping the taste out of his mouth if he eer used it around her as well, so with all things considered, Hip Hop Press is rolling with Yelawolf till the tires on our Ford truck come off! Yee-haw! Yelawolf used to be homeless in Berkeley until he got tired of moving around in frat houses all the time and got a plane ticket back to ‘bama for a fishing trip in Alaska where he made good money. From dreams to sitting courtside with Jimmy Iovine, you can bet that Yelawolf is now in a good place where he feels safe. We can’t wait for that #1 hit single Yelawolf!
