“I only started releasing music a little over a year ago, so having a song chosen for a project like DJBooth.net and Puma’s album – alongside Emilio Rojas, Freeway, Laws and some of the dopest artists around – is definitely an honor. There are a lot of people who told me to give up and stop making music; “Who’s Laughing Now”?

“Who’s Laughing Now” was produced by Shane Eli and featured on Puma and DJBooth’s “Uncontested” album, available for stream and download here: http://www.djbooth.net/index/mixtapes/entry/djbooth-puma-uncontested/

Emmy Nominated Rapper T.O.N.E-z to Release New Single!

It was just a short time ago that the hard-hitting rapper T.O.N.E-z became the first Emmy Nominated rapper in the category of Best Original Television Theme Song for the hit FX series “Justified.” The song’s nomination, performed by “Gangstagrass,” featuring T.O.N.E-z, was a historical moment for the Emmys and also for the Hip Hop/Rap genre.

The highly respected Elmore Leonard, author of the novels that were adapted into the series, was truly impressed by the “Gangstagrass” song and went as far as stating that they “created a new form of music.” “Gangstagrass” takes two types of music that are opposites and mixes them together brilliantly in a way that is natural and enjoyable.”

Since the Emmy nomination, T.O.N.E-z has been unstoppable, stepping back into his musical sanctuary and doing what he loves most, making music. He released a solo album called “The Lime Light,” which opened his eyes to see the world and music business in a new and positive way. T.O.N.E-z is also working on a brand new studio album called “High Voltage” which will be out in the fall. He guarantees that it will be more energetic, powerful and full of incredible lyrical flow. Inspired by Michael Jackson’s showmanship and Jay-Z’s determination to succeed throughout his career, “High Voltage” will feature some impressive collaborations with other artists, including the crew from “Gangstagrass.”

Currently, his new single “Ez Come Ez Go” is sneaking its way around the Internet and radio, set for official release in early August. There is no doubt his fans are once again in for something incredibly unique. The hip-hop freestyle track features the vocals and guitar of music icons Freddie Mercury and Brian May from “Queen.” Hearing the musical perfection of one of the greatest Rock bands of all times combined with one of today’s best freestyle rappers proves once again that there are no barriers with T.O.N.E-z’ artistic tastes and innate ability to seamlessly blend musical styles.

There are also whispers circulating that a national tour may take place in the months to come. So stay tuned because there’s certainly more history in the making for T.O.N.E-z!

He also claims that Antares has unlawfully licensed his name and image to third parties. He’s demanding the company cease and desist — and pay him $1 million for his troubles. –Rahim Wright
