New Comer: G. Blanco

G.Blanco is an American Rapper, Singer, and Songwriter. G.Blanco was born and raised in Long Island, NY. Her stage name G.Blanco was derived from the infamous 80’s drug lord Griselda Blanco; who during the 1970’s and 80’s led a lifestyle of drug dealing, violence and jail incarceration. G.Blanco started rapping at the age of nine after being inspired by Lisa Left Eye Lopez from the group TLC. G.Blanco released two mixtapes under the name Young Klee the first being “Queen of Kings” released in the United Kingdom with verses from rap group Street Politiks and Blackhand recording artist Graph, at this time she was being mentored by “Sweets” an ex drug dealer who held basketball tournaments and gave back to the community after being shot. G.Blanco released her second mixtape on Horror Family Records which grew her fan base and gain her notoriety in underground hip-hop. During her teenage years G.Blanco would enter rap battles showcasing her lyrical skills against other students attending her High school.

In 2008 G.Blanco signed with Keep It Coming Records and linked up with Five Towns College Graduate Delton Warrick better known as Drollic Beats. Together the duo developed a new sound and G.Blanco started writing hip-hop, pop and R&B songs under the name “Ms. Klee”. The songs received a great response from the public but after the label did not release music nor hold up to the contract G.Blanco andDrollic left the label. In late 2010 G.Blanco teamed back up with Drollic Beats to produce her debut album and work alongside fellow singer/songwriter Yancey to produce songs under the group moniker “The Maniax”. G.Blanco is currently working on her 2011 debut album alongside fellow producer Drollic Beats.

Crown Starr Releases new single “Dustin Yall”

Young Newark New Jersey Hip Hop artist Crown Starr releases her new single “Dustin Yall”!

The city of Newark New Jersey is not as well known as an incubator of talent as its more famed neighbor New York. Save for a select few not many have have expanded past the Brick City limits into mainstream success. However the newest generation of young talent is seeking to change all that.

Enter teenaged female Hip Hop artist Crown Starr, from the tender age of eleven she knew her future was in hip hop and it was that belief that proppelled her forward to work on her craft in secrecy till age of sixteen. At that point she took her budding talents miles away from her home to a recreational center on the other side of town where she recorded her first demo. She had recorded everyday since and quickly became as knowledgable an engineer as artist.

At the age of 17she released her first mixtape “The Princess Soon to Be The Queen” which gained her much recognition as well as coveted features with mainstream the likes of Mr. Cheeks, G-Dep and Cory Gunz. She has also been featured on multiple internationally distributed mixtape series such as Coast to Coast, Empire State and Slip and Slide amongst others.

Even with all her successes Crown Starr is far from satisfied. She is now debuting her latest single “Dustin Ya’ll”. Her seemless flow over the uptempo production is flawless and also puts on display her lyrical prowess and song writing abilities. “Dustin Ya’ll” is currently recieving airplay both nationally and internationally and will be available for sale via all digital music retailers shortly.

RAYVON

Pop/R & B/ Reggae/ Dancehall Sensation Rayvon Released His Self- Titled Album “Rayvon”

Best known for his award- winning, chart- topping work with Jamaican star Shaggy and once dubbed by the legendary James Brown as the “reggae Usher” Barbados born/Brooklyn raised Rayvon who gave us memorable hooks on hit songs “Angel” and “In the Summertime” has released his self- titled solo album Rayvon featuring production from Jah Snowcone, Ali Cat & Carl “Beaver” Henderson who is credited with the blazing new single“Back It Up” which was recently performed (March 8th) at a live taping on The Mo’Nique

Show and airdate TBA.

Englewood, NJ ( PRWEB ) March 10, 2011 – - Most artists dream of a career that spans over a decade boasting international accolades, chart- topping hits, and underground classics; Barbadian- born/ Brooklyn- raised Rayvon has garnered this success and more while affectionately being dubbed the “ambassador of hip- hop reggae.” Having shared the stage with monolithic icons The Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson his pop- infused Caribbean flavor has paved the way for the next generation of Barbadian recording artists such as Rihanna, Shontelle, and Jaicko. Rayvon’s eponymous third album.

Rayvon features track work from heavyweights such as Jah Snowcone (Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel) as well as the production prowess of Danny Champagne, Ali Cat, and Carl “Beaver” Henderson. The first single “Back it Up” is a hard- edged pulsating groove that will have guys jumping and ladies gyrating. From “Hustle and Flow” to the pop reggae lilt of “Wedding Song,” the album result is an explosive collection of sonic heavy hitters (“Riding Skill”), Euro dance (“Private Dancer”), and his patented brand of hip- hop reggae (“Get Money,” “Bang Bang”). To date, “Back It Up” has garnered Rayvon an International Association of Independent Recording Artists (IAIRA) award and ranked in at No. 1 on IndieMusic.com’s top 25 for 2011. The second single “One N Only” is swiftly giving chase at No. 2.

Rayvon is probably best known for his work with multi- platinum selling vocalist Shaggy. The two began collaborating on a string of tunes in the 90’s which culminated in the Sting Int’l produced regional hit “Big Up.” Rayvon says, “We both got our break with that record. It put us in the reggae/dancehall spotlight. I had a smooth- edged style of singing and he had that rough DJ style. The chemistry was amazing.” Rayvon was also featured covering The Melodians’ classic “Rivers of Babylon” on the B- side of Shaggy’s 1993 hit “Oh Carolina”

The following year Rayvon’s solo star began to brighten with the release of his hip- hop reggae classic “No Guns, No Murder” (produced by Funkmaster Flex) on the venerable VP Records. The track hit a trifecta on Billboard, ranking in simultaneously on the Hot 100, Rap Singles, and R&B/ Hip- Hop Songs charts. VP issued the follow up “Pretty (Before I go To Bed),” which quickly impacted the Billboard’s Rap Singles chart.

Rayvons’ career trajectory accelerated in 1995 when he recorded the island- tinged duet “In The Summertime” from Shaggy’s platinum, Grammy award- winning album Boombastic. The song was a cover of Mungo Jerry’s 1970 hit and following in its original success Shaggy’s version with the help of Rayvon reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and No. 5 in the UK while also featured in various major motion pictures and television series.

Rayvon spent the next few years diligently releasing underground singles including “Bashment Party,” which positioned itself on Billboard’s Rap Singles chart. In 2001 he lent his vocals to yet another smash Shaggy duet, “Angel,” from the 6x Platinum seller Hotshot. This time, the duo topped Billboard’s Hot 100 and took home an American Music Award for the wildly successful tune. Rayvon appeared with Shaggy in the national spotlight on shows like Live w/ Regis & Kelly, Saturday Night Live, Jay Leno, David Letterman and All My Children. The song has since clocked in at 18 million views on YouTube and has been certified gold and platinum around the world. Rayvon says, “People have grown up with the classic songs I’ve done over the years. People want to hear Reggae because it’s feel good music. Feel good music will never die.”

Rayvon previously released two solo albums including Hear My Cry (Virgin Records 1997) and My Bad (Big Yard Music/MCA Records 2002). Though hopes were high for his impressive debut album, it largely hovered under the radar in a whirlpool of label politics. “I came out in a year where it was like a small dog among big dog. Virgin released albums by UB40, Janet Jackson, Rolling Stones, and the Spice Girls that same year. I was caught in that whole whirlwind.” The release of “2- Way” off the sophomore effort reached No. 10 on BET’s 106 & Park countdown and chimed in on Billboard’s R&B/ Hip- Hop Songs chart. The title track “My Bad” stands at 84 thousand views on YouTube, featured a cameo from cohort Shaggy and boasted No. 1 at Top 40 Radio for four weeks. (Back It Up Video) -
