WORDSMITH’S BRINGS THE REBIRTH OF CLASSIC HIP HOP WITH DEBUT SOLO RELEASE “VINTAGE EXPERIENCE”

Baltimore, MD – On March 30th, 2010, Red Eye Distribution will release, "Vintage Experience," Wordsmith's debut solo album. This collection of 20 tracks is engineered by Wordsmith's team of in-house producers at Nu Revolution Entertainment LLC, a lineup which includes underground sensations Capish, Professa, Strada, and Street Level. Additional vocals are provided by Black Knight and Kontact, while guest appearances by Chubb Rock and Soulstice lend credibility to this all-star lineup.

Considered one of the most scheduled emcees in the East Coast region, Wordsmith has toured extensively, sharing the stage with big name acts as Wu Tang Clan, Jim Jones, Boot Camp Clik, Wale, Poor Righteous Teachers, Mike Jones, and Paul Wall. His intelligent lyrics, engaging stage performance, smooth delivery, and hypnotic vocal inflections recall a Golden Age of hip hop and have caused magazines like Hip Hop Weekly to take note of his extraordinary talent, labeling Worsmith as an "unsigned hype" who is the next to blow.

In preparation for the album release, Wordsmith is dropping "The Vintage Vault" Mix Tape on February 23rd, 2010, featuring the single "Leap of Faith" along with previously unheard tracks. "The Vintage Vault" Mix Tape will be available online at www.coast2coastmixtapes.com.

In addition, a five- episode media series is also being strategically released leading up to the album. The series contains behind the scenes footage of Wordsmith's music video, photo shoots, rehearsals, personal video diary and more.
Despite the irony of his unsigned status, Wordsmith's music remains in constant rotation in venues such as MTV's Mix Tape Mondays, XM Radio and ABC, helping to build his reputation as an unsigned emcee who works like a signed one. After a successful run of numerous mix tapes, hundreds of thousands of digital downloads, licensed singles for Puma and Sega, and a collaboration album with hip hop legend Chubb Rock, the time has finally come for Wordsmith to show the rest of the world what Baltimore has to offer to the future of hip hop.
