New York, NY – (February 5, 2010), the National Museum of Hip-Hop (NMoH) officially announce the "Hall of Hip-Hop Awards," a yearly ceremony which will induct legendary icons into the Hall of Hip-Hop. This will be a televised ceremony, unlike any other existing award show,  created to both induct and honor the greatness of artists from all elements of hip-hop – Graffiti, DJing, B-Boying and Rap, as well as the producers, mixers, engineers, fashion designers, film makers and other outside components who help make up hip-hop culture, in its entirety.
"The Hall of Hip-Hop will exist as the first true beacon of homage for those who created and pioneered this great culture we call hip-hop; a testament to the prominence of the many who helped spawn this phenomenon but have been long since forgotten via contemporary commercial/corporate interests," stated Craig Wilson, President of the National Museum of Hip Hop.
"We have developed an Induction Committee with enough experience to develop a system that will be world class," Wilson added.
Advisory Board members include: Terry Stewart (President, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame), Jim Fricke (Curator, Experience Music Project), Andre Harrell and Bob Santelli (President, Grammy Museum),  Bill Adler (Rock and Roll Hall Induction Committee), Jeff Chang (Rock and Roll Hall Induction Committee), and James Bernard (Rock and Roll Hall Induction Committee).
