January 26, 2010 – Seattle, WA – Following the successful launch of his non-profit, The Brave Foundation, in Hollywood, Shyan Selah is pleased to return to the Contour Lounge in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square for "Shyan Live at the Contour: Party with a Purpose." This event will be this Friday, January 29th, 2010 from 9pm to 2am.
"I'm excited to rock the Contour on behalf of the Brave Foundation," said Shyan. "It's my mission to raise awareness through my music and uplift the people. It's about time that people begin to party for a purpose."
 
This Friday's private event is designed to bring Brave New World's network of friends and business partners together in order to learn more about what programs and events the company's non-profit arm, the Brave Foundation, is launching this year in a party atmosphere. Invitees will get to enjoy two entertaining hosts: both KUBE 93.3FM's Scooter as well as Movin 92.5FM's Kel, dance to the latest music played by Movin 92.5FM's DJ Kaz and enjoy live music from Shyan Selah, whose new album will be released through Bungalo/Universal Music Group this spring.
 
In keeping in accordance with Brave New World and The Brave Foundation's joint mission of merging entertainment with cause-related projects and progressive outreach, the party with a purpose theme for this Friday's event means that all advanced ticket sales and door cover will go directly to benefit the Brave Foundation and its youth outreach programs.
 
Brave New World has a long-standing history with the Contour Lounge which was home to its Entertainment Industry Networking Nights and Live Showcases for local hip hop talent from 2005 to 2008. The venue was chosen for this Friday's event specifically for its past support of Brave New World's efforts to bring positive and progressive entertainment to locals.
 
"Contour has had the pleasure of working with Shyan and BNW for several years now," said Clayton Allred, owner of Club Contour. "I've always admired and supported their efforts to make positive impacts in lives of kids growing up in the greater Seattle area. Shyan is one of the most talented performers out here and it's great to see him use those talents to help the youth of today."
