Houston – Diamond (formerly of Crime Mob) returns to the national spotlight this week with the video for her hit single Superbad named as the MTV Jam of the Week.  The video will begin airing on MTV Jamz Monday, December 28, 2009 at 6AM EST.
Diamond bursts back onto the scene with a new sound, look, team and outlook on life and her career.   Superbad, produced by Cee-Lo, is the smash debut single from Diamond's highly anticipated solo project, scheduled for release in Spring 2010.  "I'm in a different place than I was two years ago, and my new music is definitely a reflection of my progression.  This is a sound that fans, new and old, will definitely feel," she explains.  The party anthem is steadily gaining momentum across markets and genres thus earning the coveted slot on MTV.
The video was directed by John "Dr. Teeth" Tucker, who's making a name for himself as the go to director for new artist.  This year alone he's worked with countless labels to create the impactful imagery needed to break new artist, including E1 recording artist Dorrough (Ice Cream Paint Job) and Jive recording group DJ Mr. Rogers & Party Boys (Flex).  This project reunited Diamond and Tucker, who'd worked together previously on the video for Rock Yo Hips. "Diamond is family, and working with her is always a great experience.  She brings personality and energy to every shoot, and the song is definitely a hit," Teeth explains.
As MTV Jam of the Week, the video will air once an hour, ensuring fans, critics and the undecided plenty of opportunities to catch a glimpse of the star.
