H2C2 is proud to introduce the official H2C2 Blog featuring stories by notable music journalist Michael A. Gonzales. Harlem native Michael A. Gonzales has written cover stories for Vibe, The Source, XXL and Wax Poetics. He is the co-writer of the seminal hip-hop book Bring the Noise and currently covers soul music for Soulsummer.com. His fiction has appeared in Bronx Biannual, The Darker Mask: Heroes from the Shadows and Brown Sugar 2.
H2C2 launched its established website www.h2c2harlem.com this past April. What separates this website from the rest is the "Featured Artist" section, which highlights H2C2's roster of talented emcees. This page includes individual bios and links to rappers who participated in H2C2's most signature event of the year, the Rapathon. You will also find news updates, "Rhyme of the Week", upcoming events and much more.
H2C2 is an 8,000 square foot venue dedicated to the preservation of Hip Hop as a culture with our historical artifacts, exhibitions and education programs. Our mission is to provide a state-of-the art community center and historical museum, where Hip Hop can be used as a positive motivator and tool for reaching young people, while at the same time creating cross-generational and cross-cultural understanding.
Don't hesitate to check out Michael's latest stories posted on our website. H2C2 is thrilled to have him and hope you embrace him just as easily. You can check out Michael's original blog, Blackadelic Pop (Where Black Thoughts, Hip Fiction and Pop Culture Collide) at http://blackadelicpop.blogspot.com.
