30 NOV 2009 – LOS ANGELES – Timeout Dubai took a moment to interview the budding rapper on his current projects, future albums, and the tranformation from American artist to International.

"The music was starting to date, and I could have started again from scratch but I thought: These guys already have opportunities but people in Dubai don't, and I know these guys in Japan who want to boost their international presence, so why not take on all three markets," said Deen on why he chose to do an international mixape.

"Urban Soul; The Movie", conceptually and artistically, is the first of its kind in the soul music genre. With the eclectic musical ambiance playing a strong part of the films backdrop, the story begins with Steve Wallace coming home from tour to see that the neighborhood he once lived in and called home is changing rapidly through gentrification leading him to come of great concern moving him to to talk about the youth, community roots and Hip Hop culture as a whole. While Steve and his friend Derral go through the daily tribulations of being young black men in a big city, 9 hand picked songs from the 'Urban Soul' album usher the audience through experiences of good times, relationship drama and spiritual insight.

New album from the Jacka to be released on Town Records

November 23, 2009 –  It was announced this week that top selling Bay area artist The Jacka  is set to release another solo album of original material entitled "Broad Daylight" on the Berkeley-based label Town Records.

Jack is currently riding high on the success of his latest album Tear Gas (released last June) which charted as high as #3 on Billboard. Videos for the albums singles "Glamorous Lifestyle" and "All Over Me" are currently in regular rotation on MTV jams and adding to what is adding up to be the biggest buzz for any Bay area rap artist in recent memory.

Broad Daylight is another step on the road to notoriety for Jacka as the artist continues to provide fans with what they love him for, quality unorthodox street music, while also showcasing his continuing desire to collab with new relevant artists on big singles such as "Please Don't Go", which features prominent Oakland rapper Kafani (their first song together), hot young songstress Netta Brielle on the hook, and a new Bay artist B-Town MAC.
