Atlanta, GA (November 24, 2009) – Carolina based music sensation Rudy Currence, the most recent addition to the roster at Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP) Records, will release a holiday EP titled Last Christmas on November 24, 2009.  The Last Christmas EP provides a sneak peek into Rudy Currence's highly anticipated debut album with DTP. The project was created and produced under Rudy's label Mike Chek Entertainment and features five songs including the title track "Last Christmas".  Just in time for the holiday season, Last Christmas is available for purchase at various online music retailers, including iTunes, Amazon and Napster for $4.95.
The EP is comprised of three original Christmas songs including the lead single, "Last Christmas," which will include a viral music video release on the album's release date. On "Carolina Christmas," Rudy reminiscently croons about coming home to the Carolinas for the holidays, and on "Christmas Card," he sings of the season's romantic sentiments. In addition to his original pieces, he remakes soulful renditions of two of his favorite Christmas carols, "The First Noel" and "Away in a Manger." Rudy explains, "I wanted to create a classic holiday sampler. I wanted to make Christmas music that's timeless, songs that people will remember for years to come …" He further expressed, "For those who don't know me, just think of this EP as an introduction to Rudy Currence, and to all my fans this EP is definitely meant to be a gift they can hold on to while anticipating my upcoming album with DTP."

About Rudy Currence:
Rock Hill, South Carolina native Rudy Currence is a singer, songwriter, musician and producer.   He has an extensive musical background spanning almost every genre from classical and jazz piano training to singing R&B, Gospel, Hip Hop, Soul, and Pop music.  Rudy majored in music and is a graduate of Furman University.  As a musician, he plays a number of instruments including the piano, guitar and trumpet. His vocal style is often compared to that of  Donnie Hathaway, Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke, blended with the contemporary likes of Alicia Keys, John Legend, Ne-Yo, and Kanye West. His credits include: Recipient of the ASCAP writer's award in 2005, 2006 and 2007, writer credits for multi-platinum recording artist Mya and national recording artist Ray J.  He also has a featured song on the blockbuster hit movie The Bourne Identity.  In 2003, he independently released his debut CD "More than you'll ever Know" , followed by the release of his sophomore album in 2006, "Here with You".  Songs from Rudy's first CD release have played in Old Navy and other major retail stores nationwide.  He recently signed with Disturbing Tha Peace Records and is currently working on a brand new, highly anticipated project.
