November 24th, 2009 Inland Empire, CA – Following the undeniable buzz of his 700+ downloaded single "Guttah Gullah Island", Curtiss King released yet another strong offering from his "Snick at Nite" mixtape titled "Banging On A Trash Can" via his unique "Twitter Only" campaign.
With the assistance of none of other than popular cartoon character Doug Funnie, from the popular 90's Nickelodeon show "Doug" , Curtiss King produced yet another nostalgic masterpiece. Sampled from one of Doug's most popular episodes, Curtiss King manages to blend the pounding of trash cans with an almost hypnotizing drum display influenced by the DMV's popular Go-Go sound. 
Though the majority of listeners may make the production the main topic of discussion, one must not overlook the top notch quality of Curtiss King's lyricism, particularly on "Banging On A Trash Can". In both singles listeners continue to hear a more aggressive, hungrier, and confident lyricist in Curtiss King. However with that new found aggression, questions have arose as to who it's directed towards.
"Banging on a Trash Can was basically my opportunity to express and release all the negativity in my life and all the negative criticism of my music. Be it all the comparisons to Kanye and Drake or the criticism of me not being a real producer because I use FruityLoops. And in the true spirit of my childhood and Snick at Nite I recklessly attempted to separate myself from those critiques in that song. Just call me Roger Klotz" Curtiss King added.
Well on it's way to becoming  another viral hit Curtiss King has also provided his fans with a video of popular  Inland Empire drummer Damar Davis's live drum remix of "Banging On a Trash Can"
