Subject: 2010 FAMILY FUN FEST The Ted Lucas Foundation and Steve Harvey with 103.5 The BEAT (Clear Channel)

OUR PURPOSE:

Family Fest is a weekend celebration of families sponsored by the Ted Lucas Foundation and 103.5 The BEAT (Clear Channel). The goal of the event is to highlight the importance of families and extended families and their roles in raising healthy, happy and productive children. Taken from the African proverb,  "It takes a village to raise a child", the weekend events will promote this message urging communities to get involved to save our children. The Steve Harvey Show will join several Athletes, Celebrities, Corporate partners and residents in the celebration during Pro Bowl Weekend. Join us and this opportunity to reach our youth January 28, 2010 thru January 31, 2010 in Miami, Florida.

TLF is a non-profit organization aimed at helping boys and girls in Miami's inner cities improve their reading, writing and mathematical skills so they can become productive members of society.

About WMIB/103.5 THE BEAT

WMIB is a Clear Channel-owned Urban Contemporary format radio station, licensed to Fort Lauderdale. For 25 years, the station call letters were WSHE, and the station slogan was "She's only Rock n Roll." In 1995, a format change was made from album oriented rock to an alternative/hot AC hybrid format, and the call was changed to WPLL, nicknamed "Planet Radio." Another format change (this time to Disco hits of the 70's) resulted in another call letter change to WMGE, "Mega 103.5" (now used on 94.9, the former WZTA), in 1999.

Finally, on October 5, 2006, WMIB modified its Urban format to Urban AC, going head-to-head with market leader WHQT. Since the altering of the format, WMIB became South Florida's home of the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Currently, Harvey hosts the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show, which airs in over 64 markets and has over 7 million listeners from 6-10 AM EST.

The morning show has also allowed him to share relationship advice with his listeners through the "Strawberry Letter" segment, where he responds to relationship questions.  This segment's popularity led to a book deal with Harper Collins.
