NASHVILLE, TN: The Vanderbilt Programming Board Music Group and Vanderbilt Athletics have announced the final line-up for the Friday, November 13th concert featuring headliner JAY-Z. Fellow hip-hop artists Wale and J.Cole will join the superstar rapper at Memorial Gymnasium on the Vanderbilt campus. 
"Jay-Z is an internationally recognized superstar, and the addition of these artists will add excitement to what is already the biggest show Vanderbilt has seen," says Dwayne Elliott, Director of Student Campus Events at Vanderbilt University .
Interscope recording artist, Wale (pronounced Wah-ley) is set to release his new album Attention: Deficit next month. The self-proclaimed, "Ambassador of Rap for the Capitol," hit the Washington , D.C. music scene with his first track, "Rhyme of the Century." In 2007, Wale inked a deal with producer/deejay Mark Ronson, and released the widely popular, 100 Miles and Running.  Most recently, Wale was featured as the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards House Band, following a string of hits that included his unique go-go infused hip-hop track, "Dig, Dug (Shake it)," a tribute to the late Donald "Dig Dug" Dixon of the go-go band the Northeast Groovers.
Although best known as the first artist to be signed to Jay-Z's new label Roc Nation, J. Cole has actually been on the music scene for years having started out in Fayetteville , North Carolina . After graduating high school in 2003, J. Cole went to college at St. Johns University in New York , where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. All the while, J. Cole worked on his first mixtape, The Come Up, which debuted in 2007. Jay-Z signed the artist immediately after hearing the track, "Lights Out." Since then, J. Cole has released his second mixtape, The Warm Up, and appeared on Jay Z's Blueprint album on the track titled, "A Star is Born."

They can also be purchased with no service charge at the Sarratt Box Office on the Vanderbilt Campus. A limited number of tickets are available at $40 and students are allowed only one ticket at this price. Additional tickets for students and for the general public are on sale from $55 to $95.
