Urbane Imagery and Mahogany Events Announce Partnership

Nashville businesses pair custom events with PR; A Night of Fame to launch effort

Nashville, TN. — (October 21, 2009) -– Urbane Imagery and Mahogany Event Planning have announced a joint venture to produce custom events focused on philanthropy and corporate branding.

A Night of Fame, the birthday bash for celebrity deejay and radio mix-show personality DJ C-Lo benefitting Soles 4 Souls, will serve as the landmark event for the partnership on Friday, November 6 at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Urbane Imagery, a public relations consultancy specializing in strategic branding, media relations and marketing, has aligned client partnerships with the National Basketball Association, Burger King and Black Entertainment Television and positioned media coverage with CBS, CNN, Ebony Magazine and USA Today.

Aerial M. Ellis, owner of Urbane Imagery, looks forward to seeing organizations gain greater brand recognition as a result of the partnership. "Pairing the expertise, creativity and professionalism of both companies is an exciting effort. Many times, an organization's message gets lost in the details of planning an event. We believe that our contribution to this partnership will leverage opportunities for organizations to heighten their visibility while hosting a stellar event," said Ellis.

Lynet Payne, president of Mahogany Event Planning, believes that A Night of Fame is the perfect launch event for the partnership between Mahogany Events and Urbane Imagery. "This event is the start of many to come from our companies which, are both committed to service and have a heart for philanthropy," Payne said.

Payne has led Mahogany Event Planning to host and coordinate functions for Tennessee Young Democrats, jazz saxophonist Joe Johnson and actress/comedian Kym Whitley.  "We hope that with A Night of Fame we will introduce a new and exclusive way to party with a purpose while supporting Soles 4 Souls in their mission," she added.

The Nashville-based businesses have previously worked together on non-profit events benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Miss Black Tennessee Scholarship Organization as well as corporate events including the launch party of Maidenform's Breakthrough Backless Bra for ABC's American Inventor Runner-Up Elaine Cato and the book release party for Author and ABC's Oprah's Big Give Finalist Sheg Aranmolate.

Tickets for A Night of Fame, sponsored by Hennessy and Horizon Wine and Spirits, are now available. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Soles 4 Souls in its global mission to collect and distribute footwear to those in need. DJ C-Lo is an official spokesperson for the organization.
