New Project Features Stellar Guest Appearances Including J-Stalin, Messy Marv and Cellski
San Francisco, CA - October 26, 2009 – SMC Recordings proudly announced today the release of Drought Season 2, hitting streets and cyberspace November 17, 2009.
Fresh off his west coast tour with Zion I, in support of his recent album, Tear Gas, the San Francisco Weekly-award winner the Jacka teams up with San Francisco rapper Berner for the follow up to their successful 2008 project, Drought Season. The project, which debuted at #25 (Rap) and #55 (R&B/Hip Hop) on Billboard Charts, was well-received by critics and fans alike.
The first single "Colder Blood" pairs the Jacka and Berner with up-and-coming artists J-Stalin, and Fam Skye. Summarizing the struggle and survival of life on the streets through the eyes of the artists, the video, directed by Razor, has already premiered on various hip-hop sites including Onsmash.com and MVRemix.com, garnering much anticipation for the project.
Guest appearances on Drought Season 2 include appearances by Bay Area hip-hop artists including Messy Marv, Cellski, Mob Figaz, J-Stalin, as well as Akron, Ohio rapper Ampichino.
