October 27th, 2009 – Toronto, CA – After 3 successful months of viral online marketing, Belly is ready to release his fourth mixtape to date "Back For the First Time", this time partnering up with the Southern Smoke brand, DJ Smallz and his Fear Factor Music.
Belly's first three mixtapes were released prior to his debut album "The Revolution" and featured Whoo Kidd, Kay Slay and Big Mike solidifying him in the mixtape market. "The Revolution", released in 2007 premiered #1 on SoundScan Canada (Rap & R&B charts) selling over 50,000 units to become a certified Canadian gold album.  Belly is currently working on his sophomore release "SE7EN" and launching a series of mixtapes prior to the album's official release.  Belly's intention to work with DJ Smallz on a mixtape had been in the works for some time. "Smallz takes his brand very seriously, and people love his work," Belly explains. "All the songs in the mixtape have a story to them, and I felt both his fans and mine will appreciate the body of work." DJ Smallz agrees and adds "This is probably one of my best mixtapes to date, and I'm very proud of it."
The mixtape features an array of different artists. The first single released to an online audience was "Hot Girl" featuring the legendary Snoop Dogg. Picked up by DJ's across North America, the song had a great response and following the success of the release, Belly already released a video which included a cameo from Snoop Dogg and was shot in Toronto, Canada. Directed by the award-winning Randall "RT!" Thorne, the video is nothing short of exceptional.  "We want to hit people with bangers," says Tony Sal, CP Records CEO. "The mixtape and video are both incredible and I am certain the fans will recognize the value of the music and the work we put in."
Back For the First Time also features Canadian rapper and friend, Drake, as well as Kurupt, the late Stack Bundles, Bynoe, P-Reign and more. Each artist adds their own flavor making every track unique. "I don't want to add just any features on my songs," says Belly. "It's about the chemistry you have with other people. There's a mutual respect between artists that you can definitely hear in the music. It either is or isn't there. These artists, even the great late Stack Bundles are all people who I worked well with, knew and have/had a relationship with. Not just people I picked to throw on my records because of the hype."
The mixtape is available for download now on www.bellylive.com as well as THISIS50.COM on October 27th and 28th. It is also available on all of Belly's official online channels as well as most online mixtape carriers.
