Classic Hip-hop set by House Music pioneer and 4-Time GRAMMY® Nominated Producer/Remixer Steve 'Silk' Hurley
CHICAGO (September 22, 2009)- On Saturday October 3rd, 2009 S&S Records proudly presents: The 2nd annual Chairman's Ball an elite social affair during the Global Mixx Music Retreat weekend. event This highly anticipated event honors the 2009 co-chairs GMIXX '09 Honorary Chairs: Khris 'First Lady' Rhaye (Radio One-Indy), DJ Pharris (Power 92), Ted Chung (Snoop Dogg), State Representative Ken Dunkin (IL), Maurice Joshua (Grammy-award winning producer)and Leroy 'Bum' Peoples (The Source).
This event will be held at Vision Nightclub www.visionnightclub.com 632 N Dearborn from 10p-5a in the progressive River North neighborhood. The Chairman's Ball  will be hosted by George Daniels (George's Music Room), Shannon 'Skip' Syas (S&S/Pushpac), DJ Pharris (Power 92), Leroy 'Bum' Peoples (The Source Magazine) and Lisa E. (Power 92).
There will be a headline performance by Legends of hip-hop Naughty By Nature R&B/Hip-hop sensation J-Lyn (3G's Management), rap lyricist Slim Black (Money Bag Boyz), R&B vocalist John Blu (Jive) and more of today's emerging talent!
Plus, guests will experience the sounds of music provided by internationally renowned producer/remixer Steve 'Silk' Hurley along with guest DJ's – Maurice Joshua/DJ Boogie/DJ G-Spot.
Co-partner/founder of S&S Records Chicago Shannon 'Skip' Syas explains that this experience will be memorable and has a surprise for all in attendance.

"I can't wait to show my alter-ego on October 3rd by playing an exclusive Old Skool Hip Hop DJ Set!  As a House Music Pioneer, it's great to step outside the box when I get the opportunity.  Old Skool Hip Hop is a part of my history and it will be an honor to share the stage with the Legendary Naughty by Nature and some of the industry's hottest future Hip Hop and R&B  stars.  I just had to be there anyway, to witness George Daniels & my partner DJ Skip, on the same stage together.  They will be hosting the night along with Leroy "Bum" Peoples, editor of "The Source" Magazine, DJ Pharris, and Lisa E.  What a night it will be for Chicago, S&S and the Global Mixx Retreat!"
Doors will open at 9pm and the show promptly begins at 11PM.  Guests must 21 years to enter. Valet Parking is available and the strict dress code will be enforced with chic and proper attire a must. S&S Records/Global Mixx reserve the right to entry. *Please note* – ALL VIP GMIXX BADGES will be honored until midnight/$20 after midnight. Early arrival is highly recommended.
