Toronto, ON, July 3 – In light of the CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) Strike in Toronto, the original destination of UMAC's 2009 Urban X-Posure: Triple Threat!!!, Metro Hall in downtown Toronto , has been changed.
The 2009 Urban X-Posure: Triple Threat!!! will now occur this Saturday, July 4, 2009 at CBC's Glenn Gould Studio (http://glenngouldstudio.cbc.ca/), 250 Front Street West, Toronto at 4pm
UMAC's selection of The Top 10 finalists this past Saturday, June 27 has yielded such an incredible response that instead of only 3 of the finalists performing for the audience, now ALL 10 will have a chance to showcase their wares on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at Urban X-Posure: Triple Threat!!! .
On the line for at least 3 of the Top 10 is a digital singles deal with Nettwerk Music Group, a cross country Canadian tour in the fall, as well as 500 - $5 units of product per artist to sell offstage after tour performances, with all of the profits going directly to the artists.
UX 2009 doors open at 4pm for networking opportunities & the event begins at 5pm, ending at 9pm. Admission is $5 for all non-UMAC members; UMAC members will be admitted for free. ALL entry is on a first come-first served basis due to the limited capacity of the theatre.
Along with a hot demo listening session & the incredible talent showcase, two informative panels with industry delegates & heavyweights will set the afternoon off! Stay tuned as promoters, radio personalities, high profile producers, record label execs & maybe even a special surprise guest or two will be there to lend an ear to Canada 's best young urban music practitioners, discussing what it takes to make it in today's ever - changing global music marketplace!
Hosted by fast rising Canadian comedian Frankie "Trixx" Agyemang, UX 2009 is a sure shot, can't-miss affair for all those who support Canadian talent, regardless of genre!
