Chicago, IL – After presenting a free show at Do Division Fest on May 30th, featuring performances from global artists GLC, Rhymefest, and others, RubyHornet and DJ RTC celebrated the release of The Chicago Picasso, the new solo mixtape from Naledge of Kidz In The Hall (available June 30th via Duck Down Records).  The day after the mixtape's release, RubyHornet hosted an invite only celebration at the James Hotel's J-Bar.  The event featured a live art installation by Hebru Brantley, photography by Virgil Solis, a soundtrack by DJ RTC, and appearances by Naledge, and other trendsetters within Chicago's music and arts community.
The Chicago Picasso is not your average mixtape.  The songs included on the project reflect a diverse and colorful picture of Chicago, painted by Naledge of Kidz In The Hall along with hosting services by a DJ power trio of Mick Boogie, Timbuck2, and RH's DJ RTC.  Guest artists on The Chicago Picasso include Mick Luter, GLC, Rhymefest, Mickey Factz, A Pinks, Bun B, and more.  The goal of this exclusive release party is to celebrate Naledge's new project in an atmosphere that shares in the music's diversity and quality.  As is the case with RubyHornet's parties and events, which showcased the nation's top emerging artists,The Chicago Picasso release party provided guests with an enjoyable and memorable experience.
About JBar
Beginning with the velvet ropes outside its Rush Street entrance, everything about this lounge is sleek: low leather couches and cubes provide seating and mirrors on the walls are inlaid with screens streaming abstract videos. The J is tops for 'tinis, offering "deconstructed" versions of traditional cocktails: vodka, vermouth and an olive sucker, for instance. The James Hotel Martini–cosmo for the new millennium–features blue raspberry vodka, elderflower cordial and a raspberry candy-shell on the cocktail glass.  The intimate yet artistically modern space offers just the space for this exclusive.
