MyCypher.com Online Community Goes Live

MyCypher Inc. launches first-ever online community powered by VOIP

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2009 — MyCypher.com, this week, announced the launch of its global online Hip Hop community which is powered by VOIP (voice over Internet Protocol). The launch signifies the first of a three-pronged approach, connecting rappers, MCs, poets and fans worldwide: an online community and blog network, relevant videos and sponsorship of live events.

About MyCypher

The term "cypher" (also commonly spelled "cipher") derives from an ancient Arabic term "cifra". While the common meaning of this term has to do with a method of writing and a combination of letters, numbers, or symbols, in hip-hop circles, it refers to the combination of rhymes and impromptu lyrical compositions (a.k.a "freestyles") that come together to form a complex story or narrative.

MyCypher.com allows users to create these narratives online via a unique community that allows them to record and upload their rhymes and freestyles via toll free phone calls, VOIP, or an online microphone. The uploads post immediately to any of the virtual "cyphers" within the community and other members can listen, respond, and comment in real time. The result is a virtual hip-hop narrative, constantly being developed and critiqued, in real time.

In addition to member interactivity, MyCypher features a variety of original content including an expansive video library and a blog network. Currently in development is a woodshedding of the global connective capabilities to ensure that the network includes its true audience – true fans of hip-hop – despite their geographic location.

About the MyCypher Video Network:

MyCypher will introduce, on July 31st, 2009, its first online video series, "Hip Hop Worldwide". The series will focus on the travels of three American hip-hop artists: Bobbito Garcia (DJ), Toni Blackman (Rapper), and Nobody Famous (Producer). The series features music, interviews, and behind the scenes footage of the three artists as they toured Brazil's hip-hop communities in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Bahia in Brazil.

About the MyCypher Blog Network:

The MyCypher Blog Network consists of five blogs: Set To Blow, Global Hotness, She Can Flow, Beats & Ballots, and Fresh Baked Goodness. Set To Blow is a blog about up and comers in the game and features exclusive audio tracks and video from shows and events from LA and across the country. She Can Flow is a blog that focuses on female MCs and regularly introduces the world to up and coming female talent as well as discussing the current state of the female artist in the hip hop community. Global Hotness is the blog for the international audience and those interested in more than what is in their backyard. The blog features artists from around the world and has guest bloggers that frequent its pages. Beats and Ballots is the political blog and attempts to blend the world of hip hop with the political landscape. Finally, Fresh Baked Goodness speaks on everything from a hip-hop perspective, from current events to random events.

Daz Dillinger (of The Dogg Pound) Gears Up For “Public Enemiez” Album On August 11th

Fans of  Tha Dogg Pound know that they never have to wait long for a new release from their favorite group members. Kurupt recently dropped his collaboration effort with DJ Quik, "BlaQKout", and it is now time for the other half of the Pound, Daz Dillinger, to grace his fans with a new album on August 11th.

The new record is entitled "Public Enemiez" and as the title suggests, it is premised around the "Public Enemies" flick which highlights 1930s gangster John Dillinger, who Daz amiably fashioned his alias after. "Public Enemiez" offers insight to Daz's most personal experiences, allowing listeners a window into what made Daz Dillinger the gangster/rapper he is.

Tracks such as "Life Stagez" and "N My Neighborhood" find Daz reminiscing about hismself and depicting the inner-city lifestyle that is, to this day, prevalent in "his neighborhood". "Tell Me What U Got", takes you on a trip through his days on Death Row Records and sheds light on his feelings about his former boss, Suge Knight. While most of the album carries a mellow sound, the party anthem "Meet Me @ The Strip Club" succeeds in switching up the mood throughout the record.

"Public Enemiez" is  a true solo album, meaning no other rappers are featured on it – something that rarely happens anymore these days. Daz did however reach out to some of his favorite R&B crooners Latoya Williams, Chris Starr, Los and Nicole Wray to assist him on the hooks, as well as his production partners Soopafly and Ivan Johnson to co-produce with him.

Dillon Chase “The Pursuit” hits the streets on September 29th 2009 Nationwide

The state of Oklahoma has a new home town hero in Kingdom City Records recording artist, Dillon Chase.  You've heard him on several releases over the last few years on Reach Records 116 Clique-"13 Letters" and Sho Baraka "Turn My Life Up."

Dillon Chase was born in 1985 in Ada, Oklahoma and has been in the hip-hop game since 1999 but, he had a rough beginning growing up with his parents addicted to drugs and struggling to survive a lifestyle surrounded by every possible temptation a young teenager could imagine.  In 2004 Dillon became quite aware of his need for a Savior and then, he became a believer in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  Through the next few years he met some new friends Lecrae and Sho Baraka who recognized his servant evangelism towards others and they quickly initiated him into the 116 Clique and the rest is history.

In September of 2008 Dillon Chase signed with Kingdom City Records; with his southern swagger, theologically charged lyrics and a warrior mentality to "Go Hard."  Dillon Chase's new project, "The Pursuit" hits the streets on September 29th 2009 and features 1-Lyfe, Cam, Tedashii, Dre Sr. Sho Baraka, and more.  The first single, "Walk Worthy" featuring Tedashii is already playing on the Hype Radio Network on over 200+ stations nationwide and around the globe.  "Walk Worthy" has only been on the Hype Radio Network a few weeks and has already been getting a lot of requests, " says host Chris Chicago.  Dillon Chase and Tedashii are on the set shooting the music video for "Walk Worthy" which will hit television networks across the country in the coming weeks.

Dillon Chase is currently on the ImPRESSiON Tour with Kingdom City Records artists in various cities across America.  Check out these websites:
