Vesper Public Relations. Los Angeles, July 3, 2009 – With a unique musical offering, El Vuh explodes onto the SoCal scene this month to voice an inspiring and challenging lyrical promise. The Mexican-American trio whose message can be described as hip-hop prophecy will be presenting its latest material from the album "ElVuhlution" as they musically celebrated the arrival of Summer Solstice with a vibrant & colorful show at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood.
Coined "lyrical medicine men" by those touched by their music, Zero, Victor-E and E-Rise began their musical careers in 2002 as Los Angeles-based visionaries together for a common cause: music with an ancestral message.
Using their songs as a vehicle for expressing personal views on today's environmental, socioeconomic and political climates, El Vuh ('The Book') spreads a message of love and hope regarding the popular Dec. 21st, 2012 Mayan prophecy, feared by some to be the end of the world.
To El Vuh, this date is "just the start of a new cycle said to bring forth a new world view". Basing their lyrics on the philosophy of their native Aztec and Mayan ancestry, the trio reminds its listeners that "not only are we all part of the circle of life, but we also have a responsibility to that circle".
The guys from Riverside, CA understand that life is one big vibration and delight in effecting the world through their vibe in the form of hip-hop music.  During live performances, they incorporate the sounds of ancient Mexico into their set and include a visual interpretation through 'danzantes' (Aztec dancers), all presented in a backdrop of native imagery, thus recreating the unparalleled mysticism of their ancestors in the contemporary context of hip-hop rhythms.
Unlike hip-hop artists of the time, however, El Vuh introduces Mexican culture to the world via positive and thought-provoking lyrics embedded in hip-hop drum beats and haunting flutes in songs like "Age of Itza" and "Mexica Tiahui".
After being featured on shows like Latin Nation and The Roof/MUN2, plus being featured on high profile publications such as: Reforma (Mexico), Associated Press Latin (U.S.), Billboard (U.S.) and sharing their truth via several performances in festivals throughout North America, El Vuh returns to its home stage once more before taking its message worldwide.
