July 6, 2009 (Chicago, IL) – Bobby Simmons of the New Jersey Nets & Chicago Fashion Mogul Lavelle "V-Dot" Sykes teamed up one year ago to create an environment for trendsetters and sneaker freaks alike. This environment is now Chicago's ONLY high end sneaker store on Michigan Avenue, and appropriately called – SuccezZ.
SuccezZ has partnered with Sprite Green to produce the hottest event of the summer: "A Year of SuccezZ". This event will not only be a celebration of the one anniversary for SuccezZ the Store, but it will also be an event to celebrate the birth of co-owner Bobby Simmons! The event is set to take place Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Chicago Illuminating Company  (19 E. 21st Street | Chicago, IL 60616) from 9 pm to 2am.
The invitation only celebration will bring out all of Bobby's close celebrity friends including Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat), Shawn Marion (Toronto Raptors), Quentin Richardson (New York Knicks), Tyrus Thomas (Chicago Bulls), Ben Gordon (Detroit Pistons), and a host of others! The most fashion forward taste makers in the city of Chicago, and most of all – those that love V-Dot and the SuccezZ brand overall will also be in attendance.
Sprite Green has called in favors to bring one the most buzz-worthy hip hop artists Wale (signed to Mark Ronson's label Allido/Interscope), Los Angeles DJ's Haul & Mason, and Chicago dance group The Brick Heads to perform at this star studded event! From 9 pm to 2 am, guests will witness the phenomenal marriage of music, sports, and fashion the best way possible!
In honor of A Year of SuccezZ, what would the celebration be without a fashion show! The nation's hottest models will be on hand to showcase the most unique, hard-to-find fashion found exclusively at SuccezZ. From the highly coveted Air Yeezy's to the known unknown brand Yoropiko, SuccezZ will show it all!
