On July 14th Tampa artist Funkghost is releasing his single "Vintage Futuristic," the debut single off his sophomore album "Dirty But Sophisticated."
Tampa, Florida US- July 13, 2009- The multi-faceted force known as Funkghost will be releasing the debut single Vintage Futuristic off his sophomore album Dirty But Sophisticated on July 14th, 2009.
As an artist/producer/arranger/songwriter and all around business-man, Funkghost has become a force to be reckoned with. In 2000, Funkghost dropped his first album entitled Ultra-Boogie Highlife. The album distributed 20,000 singles without the aid of promotions, airplay, tour support and before the age of digital distribution outlets.
In the sophomore album Dirty But Sophisticated audiences are presented with a "grown and sexy" sound that somewhat deviates from the hard hitting beats of his first album.
Vintage Futuristic, which was produced by G-Unit producer MPhases and written by the artist himself, offers a northern sounding swagger that combines with an east-coast swing and coincides with southern bop-your-head undertones. The single debuted to delighted listeners on Clearchannel's WBTP 95.7 The Beat on June 23, 2009.
The video, which was shot in Tampa, FL by producer Jeff Osborne, keeps with the "grown and sexy" sound by offering breathtaking views of the city's night skyline and high-end graphics similar to those of big budget videos. The video can be seen on www.youtube.com/grandextravagant.
The artist himself has been marketing his talents independently under his label Grand Extravagant Entertainment with the management of 5 O' Clock Music's CEO Dwayne Golson.
Audiences can read up on Funkghost in volume 3 issue 11 of Reax Magazine where the author dubs the artist "Confidence Man."
Along with his musical talents, Funkghost also writes a weekly column "On the Corner" which is available on www.beatdynasty.com.
The single is available for download on all digital music stores including: iTunes, Napster, Limewire, Rhapsody, Groupie Tunes, Emusic, Amazon MP3 and LaLa.
Vintage Futuristic is also featured on the VladTV.com & Loud.com R&B Mixtape Volume 2 which drops today.
