Focus… Leaves Aftermath, Focuses on his label a.Fam Entertainment

Super producer Focus… leaves Aftermath after many years of service to Dr. Dre to pursue his dream of owning his own production label a.Fam Entertainment. Focus'… work has since appeared on The Game's multi-platinum The Documentary ("Where I'm From"), 112's Pleasure & Pain (single "U Already Know"), Beyonce's multi-platinum Dangerously In Love ("Yes") and J.Lo's platinum-plus This Is Me…Then ("Dear Ben"), among others. 

Focus… says he has learned a lot from his mentor Dr Dre. When asked what was it that Dre saw in him that made him take him under his wing Focus… says: "Dre said he liked my style, the way I attacked the music." Focus… recalls,  "He heard East and West Coast in my sound and he liked the way that I bridged the two. He said I was talented, so he never made me become a mini him, (Dr. Dre). He always took me for who I was and let me be me."

From then on Focus… never looked back, cranking out tracks for 50 Cent, and other artist affiliated with Aftermath. Focus… has recently produced the single "Respect My Conglomerate" for Busta Rhymes featuring Lil' Wayne and Jadakiss. DALLAS (May 22, 2009) – After raising funds for breast cancer and the Susan G. Komen Foundation in 2008, Dallas hip-hop recording artist Justin 'GOAT' Griffith & H4 will present Mend the Home: Hip Hop Helps Heal Domestic Violence Benefit Show on Saturday, June 13. Carrying a cover charge of only $5, 100% of the proceeds will be used to fund programs provided by the Genesis Women's Shelter in Dallas, Texas. Everyone that attends is encouraged to wear purple to support the cause.

When it comes to domestic violence, the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention reports 1,200 deaths and two million injuries to women from intimate partner violence each year. On average, three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends each day in this country. 15.5 million U.S. children live in families in which partner violence occurred at least once in the past year, and seven million children live in families in which severe partner violence incidents occurred.

Justin 'GOAT' Griffith states "Mend the Home: H4 Domestic Violence Benefit Show showcases the hip hop community coming together for a great cause and for free. We're proud to donate our proceeds to the Genesis Women's Shelter for their fine work in assisting battered women and their children."

The backdrop for Mend the Home: Hip Hop Helps Heal Domestic Violence Benefit Show will be provided by The Bone in the Deep Ellum Entertainment District, east of Downtown Dallas. Attendees 18 and Up will be treated to music performances from some of the areas' finest performers in the Hip Hop scene including AwkQuarius (Pikahsso & Tahiti) and GOAT himself. With dj three6t and Dean Dillinger providing the music, there were also be live art provided by artlovemagic and body painting by 3 of 1 Art. The hosting duties will go to Chucky Sly, MysKenna plus rising music & entertainment executive, radio personality and philanthropist Vincent "Young Heartbreak" Tucker (FOX, ABC & CW).

"In light of pop singer Rihanna allegedly becoming a public victim this year, this is one of the premier issues in the community," states Vincent 'Young Heartbreak' Tucker. "This event will help spread the word about the importance of stopping domestic violence and show our dedication from hip hop to come together and help."
