Warren G Readies Sixth Studio Album With 2 Street Singles

(May 31, 2009 – 2SPR) – West coast rapper Warren G is close to finishing his much-anticipated sixth studio outing, The G Files.

The album is still a work in progress however, two new street singles are now in circulation. The classic G-Funk anthem, 'Mr. DJ,' is already receiving good reviews online, and the brand new, infectious 'Gigolo's Get Lonely 2,' both expected to be given airplay in the near future.

The G Files, Warren's first album in four years, will feature appearances from Nate Dogg, Bishop Lamont, Ice Cube, Paul Wall, and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. The first official single is due to be released soon, called 'Swagga Rich' featuring Snoop Dogg.

The Long Beach bred, Grammy Award-nominated, music producer/rapper grew up listening to jazz, soul and funk records, and hanging out at the local V.I.P. record store in Long Beach. He soon pioneered a sound that would take rap to a new plateau. In 1994 G-Funk became a worldwide phenomenon, as the most musical and enduring strain of gangsta rap.

Warren G exploded onto the scene in 1994 with the single 'Regulate,' a duet with long-time friend Nate Dogg. It's accompanying album, Regulate…G Funk Era went triple platinum and peaked at #2 on the Billboard charts. A slew of hit records, and global sell-out tours would follow, and in 2004 saw the reunion of childhood friends, and superstar trio, 213 (Snoop Dogg, Warren G & Nate Dogg), with their album The Hard Way, achieving platinum status.

The G Files is due in stores this fall.

Caribbean Hip-Hop Mogul Manifest and Wife Welcome First Child

May 28, 2009, Nassau, The Bahamas… Fans of multi-award winning producer, hip-hop artist and the CEO of Dunamus Soundz, Lavard 'Manifest' Parks agree that the first quarter of 2009 has been an amazing year for him. The prince of positive hip hop started off in January touring Atlanta, The Bahamas and The Cayman Islands with his newly released Parables only to end up performing and snagging some awards at the Marlins, including one for his hip-hopera duet with Joanne Callender.

Fans wondering if he's on the quiet as a prelude to his next big project and major announcement finally have their answer as to where he's been – by his wife's side welcoming their first child.

Manifest's wife Radel, a poet and fixture in the Caribbean film industry, gave birth to a baby boy, Johanan (Jojo) Manifest Parks in The Bahamas' capital city of Nassau. The proud parents and their new son are home getting adjusted to the family life and Manifest admits he's been taking photos of his son whenever he's not holding him.

"My wife and I are really thankful for all the prayers, support, e-mails, calls and shout-outs on Facebook, MySpace and love from our family and friends on the newest addition to our family," beamed Manifest. "I must admit, he's handsome like his Daddy! But on the real, we are truly blessed that God placed him in our lives and with all the practice we've had with our nieces and nephews, we're more than ready for this amazing journey into parenthood. And if anyone is wondering, yes, he'll be in the studio with me soon – if only to record his first words."

The 1st Annual Hip-Hop Therapy Seminar in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 18, 2009

Los Angeles, May 26, 2009

Nakeyshaey M. Allen, affectionately known as the Hip-Hip Therapist™, is bringing her unique approach to practice to the Los Angeles helping professional community.  On Saturday, July 18, the Hip-Hop Therapist™ and her team will facilitate Los Angeles's first annual Hip-Hop Therapy Seminar.  This seminar will focus on the concept of using Hip-Hop music and culture to engage high risk youth in educational and therapeutic interventions.  This approach to practice stems from how often helping professionals contend that their youth clients are the most difficult to engage in an intervention.  Nakeyshaey states that what often hinders ones ability to engage their youth clients is their inability to relate to their client, lack of creativity, and knowledge of their client's environment.  Since Hip-Hop is considered a young, urban, internationally mainstream culture that chronicles the life view and experiences of youth, why not explore the power of Hip-Hop in an intervention with high risk youth?

Sponsored by REALTalk Enterprises, this seminar will emphasize Nakeyshaey's creativity and how she has used all aspects of Hip-Hop music and culture to engage youth and young adults in interventions by way of the approach, Hip-Hop Therapy ® (HHT).  Over the past seven years, Nakeyshaey has used HHT as a innovative and culturally sensitive approach that incorporates traditional therapeutic approaches such as music therapy, cognitive and behavioral therapies, relational therapy, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy – while fostering the inclusion of Hip-Hop music and culture.  By utilizing aspects of the traditional therapeutic approaches, HHT introduces and analyzes Hip-Hop music, its lyrics, and culture as it relates to the person in the therapeutic, educational, or community development intervention.  Analyzing Hip-Hop lyrics engages participants, stimulates discussion, and critically analyzes the social, political, economic, environmental content, as well as one's own life issues, struggles, and experiences.

This Hip-Hop Therapy seminar is internationally recognized and described as dynamic, hands on, informative, raw, and thought provoking.  It is ideal for those who are genuinely concerned about how to engage youth in interventions, such as parents, social workers, psychologists, law enforcement, psychiatrists, therapists, gang interventionists, teachers, youth counselors, youth mentors, case managers, mental health professionals, public health professionals, youth policy makers, judges, attorneys, guardian ad litems, child protection workers, family court officials, probation/parole officers, clergy, youth program funders, charitable organizations, Rappers, DJs, and other members of the Hip-Hop community/industry.  This seminar is also a great example of opportunity in bringing diverse entities together for a common cause, our youth!

The Hip-Hop Therapist™ has worked with thousands of youth, young adults, and helping professionals all over the United States and abroad.  If you would like to learn more about this innovative intervention and how it can be incorporated into your program, please call the Hip-Hop Therapist ™ team at 310-601-3056 or toll free at 1-866-501-HIPP (4477).  Also, for more information about on the 1st Annual Hip-Hop Therapy Seminar in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 18, 2009, please contact Shonte Reeves at 323-901-6555, shonte@thehiphoptherapist.com, or visit www.thehiphoptherapist.com/WorkshopRegistration.

About The Hip-Hop Therapist:

While feeling misunderstood and abandoned, in 1992, Nakeyshaey learned that our society has an overwhelming tendency to blame youth for its social ills and problems.  Determined to overcome her own trials as an emancipated foster youth and adolescent single parent, she vowed to get real and her life right so that could actively advocate for youth and youth culture.  Today, Nakeyshaey M. Allen, affectionately known as the Hip-Hop Therapist ™, is an international clinical social work consultant, social therapist, educator, published author, trainer, life coach, and the Founder and CEO of the "Hip-Hop Therapy Foundation (HHTF)".  The HHTF supports non profit organizations that facilitate programs that use Hip-Hop music and culture to engage high risk youth and young adults.

About REALTalk Enterprises:

Established in 2007, REALTalk Enterprises (RTE) is a specialized Social Wellness Coaching, Training, and Consulting firm that facilitates mature and REAL interventions designed to produce satisfying career and life adjustments for youth, young adults, families, and the helping professionals that provide services to them.  RTE developed out of response to the lack of REAL dialogue around the REAL socioeconomic, legal, cultural, educational, emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues that continuously impact youth, young adults, and people of color populations in disenfranchised communities throughout Los Angeles County and abroad.

ABOUT SLIQUE: Slique's music reflects his unique outlook on life; relationships are a predominant theme. He sings about the experience of falling in love and then falling out or, occasionally, being kicked out. The single "Your Body" was the result of a stroke of inspiration while playing around with chords in the studio. He turned on the mic, came up with a whole Marvin Gaye vibe and let the lyrics flow. "Your Body" recently hit #1 on Billboard Magazine's Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.

Toronto’s Urban Collective “Tru Paz” Break Down Barriers – June 13th at House of Reggae

www.tru-paz.com

Toronto's Urban Collective Tru Paz are breaking down the barriers with a performace at the House of Reggae (1693 Rue St-Denis)  June 13th with Montreal break out artist Empire ISIS.

With a MuchMusic Video Award nomination for the 2008 "Best Rap Video" of the year (http://youtube.com/watch?v= FRhzUxThLeE), five videos in rotation, four albums released on URBNET/Fontana, and concert bookings across the country, it is no wonder that Tru-Paz career is gaining recognition internationally.

The Tru-Paz collective consists of three members Boozie (Vocalist) Akim (Lyricist) and DJ Unknown (Producer/DJ). Their sound is a distinct mixture of classic roots reggae.

RnB and hip-hop that can be heard through the vibrant vocals of Boozie complimented by the conscious hip hop that is portrayed through the lyrics of Akim; mixed with the unpredictable selections of rock, soul, hip-hop and reggae from DJ Unknown. These variables make the Tru-Paz sound one that is unclassifiable by today's music genres. The groups' ability to captivate fans by their unique sound is already making a permanent imprint in Canadian music history with tracks like "Hotel Hell'' and "Dust Yourself Off" gaining recognition internationally.

BOOZIE, born and raised in rural Jamaica at the height of Jamaica's infant political in-stability, captivates his fans and uplifts the audience with his mystic messages that are influenced by his struggle during his early years. Boozie brings a spiritual influence to the music with profound and passionate vocals; liberating the listeners by bringing social awareness of the oppressed and suffering. AKIM spending time in Trinidad in his youth and raised in Toronto shines light on many of the metropolitan social issues through his heart-felt lyrics. His conscious messages tell personal stories that illustrate the broken social infrastructure and the influence these struggles have had through his personal journey. DJ UNKNOWN is a multiplatform, dynamic addition to the Tru-Paz collective. Not only is he the groups Dj, he is also the Producer and can be attributed as an integral part of the groups unique sound. Unknown has been Djing since the age of 13 and influenced by his father's passion for music as a radio broadcaster; his diverse musical interest and influences include everything from Tool to Radiohead, Marley Marl, Dj Premier and EPMD.

The groups' collective of unique personality & artistic expression is deeply rooted by their passion for music & their humble approach to being a successful Canadian group. Their friendship and longevity in the game enables them to individually express themselves pushing the boundary of many genres to recreate the musical formula of a new genre of music. Tru-Paz Movement. Tru-Paz is scheduled to release the highly anticipated single "Young Nation" that is scheduled for release in November 2008 followed by a full length Album for release in March 2009.

Trey Songz Will Reveal His Beginning With “Genesis” Original Works From The Demo That Began His Career

"GENESIS" The Prequel to Trey Songz Debut Album "I Gotta Make It" Will Be Available for Download June 15, 2009 To Introduce Fans To The Birth of His Career With Atlantic Records

(Worldwide)- On June 15, 2009 Trey Songz will release his original demo that landed him a deal with Atlantic Records. "Genesis" will include songs like "About the Game" a track that was featured on the Bathing Ape website and on the Coach Carter soundtrack prior to his first album "I Gotta Make It" with Atlantic Records.

Trey Songz is known for being very personal in the sense that he allows his fans to experience certain aspects of his life that are otherwise unavailable to the general public. He will take this even further on June 15, 2009 when he releases "Genesis" which is a mixtape comprised of his original demo that struck him the deal with Atlantic records in 2004. This mixtape will be available for free download as Trey shares even more of himself with his fans. In support of "Genesis" Trey Songz is in the works of planning a mixtape tour where he will also perform songs from his highly anticipated third album "Ready" which will be available in stores and online on August 4, 2009.

ABOUT TREY SONGZ: In 2005, a young man with a voice far beyond his years stepped onto the scene before the world was equipped for one of his kind. With the release of "Trey Day" his sophomore release on Atlantic Records last fall, it is clear that Trey Songz is here for the long run. After much success for the single, "Can't Help But Wait," Trey received his first BET Award nomination in 2008. Just recently Trey Songz was featured in the GAP Merry Mix It Commercial for the 2008 Holiday Campaign and also received his first Grammy nomination. Over the last 4 years The Doctor's Orders has established itself as the premier Hip-Hop party in London. Hosting a who's who of the Hip-Hop world it is always a massively popular night and tonight will be no exception as we mark the 4th Birthday with our best line up to date.

Boasting a hatrick of Detroit MC's performing live, a resident that never disappoints, the return of an old favorite, a new creative beat maker and a London party scene specialist the line up match the occasion and there are sure to be an army of The Doctor's Orders regulars filling up the dance-floor as they do month on month. Guilty Simpson, Phat Kat and Big Tone all have plenty in common. All hail fro Detroit, they have all worked with the production genius that was J-Dilla and they are all already massively popular with The Doctor's Orders crowd.

Guilty Simpson is one of the most creative MCs of his generation with lyrics that range from the street inspired tales to side-splitting humor. Way more prolific than his one full length LP, "Ode to the Ghetto" on Stones Throw, would suggest he is a rock of the Detroit Hip-Hop scene that has collaborated with everyone from Eminem (who he still refers to as Marshal), D12, Slum Village, Black Milk and of course J-Dilla, the man that first committed him to wax and introduced him to Stones Throw. A massive presence on stage both physically and musically this is not to be missed.

Joining him on stage are two good friends and popular lyricists Phat Kat and Big Tone. Each have distinctive styles that embody the influences of Motor City from Motown to the leftfield beats that are the trade mark of both the Detroit Hip-Hop and House scenes. Phat Kat first came to prominence when signed to DJ Premier's Pay Day label as First Down alongside J-Dilla, the man that produced the majority of his best-loved work. Big Tone is not only a MC but also a producer who has released two albums on label ABB and Tres both of which carry considerable weight among the underground scene. With lyrics that paint crystal clear pictures of his local and universal environments and beats that boast crisp drums and perfectly chopped soul breaks things are only going get bigger for Big Tone.

DJ Vadim returns to The Doctor's Orders again to help us celebrate this special anniversary. Always a favorite of the regulars he enjoys playing in room 2 and the freedom that allows him to dig deeper in the crates and treat people to an audio experience that could take in anything and everything from Soul to Reggae and Disco to Dubstep.

The Man with the plan as ever is Spin Doctor. As resident and promoter of the night it's success over the last 4 years is something he will be celebrating and celebrating in style. Always guaranteed to rock the crowd right to their socks he is playing a double set tonight and will be blessing them with his own birthday presents of classic Hip-Hop and Soul both new and old.

Paul White is one of the new breed of beat makers for whom there are very few boundaries. His debut album "The Strange Dreams of Paul White" is set to become a classic with its soundscape encompassing everything from soundtracks to prog-rock with a big dose of leftfield Hip-Hop. This early chance to hear a guaranteed star in the making will provide a glimpse into the music influences that feed his dreams.
