NEW YORK, NY –March 4th, 2009- The Hip Hop Culture Center is looking for incredibly talented individuals to audition for Ralph McDaniels new video featuring Rapathon alumni. We are looking for models (male and female), unicyclist, skateboarders, people with great dribbling skills, and other unique talents. Auditions will take place Saturday, March 7th, 2009 at 4:30pm.
Later on that evening we will be hosting "The Emcee Open" inviting emcees, spoken word artists, and singers to showcase their talent at our open mic event.  The entry fee is $10.00 from 5:00 – 8:00pm and $15.00 from 8:00 – 11:00pm, all ages are welcome. The evening will conclude with a competition that puts emcees to the test with a number of lyrical and freestyle challenges. This series of event is like the Olympics of Rap and will have the best emcees battling it out for a chance to win a cash prize of $100.00. Rapathon veterans Kween Kash, Purple Haze, D-Nasty, and Niles will also be performing premiering their debut single "The One".
In addition, we are looking for the best dancers to participate in our Harlem Get Light dance competition. Winners will appear in a music video directed and produced by Ralph McDaniels that will feature Rapathon veterans and will debut on Video Music Box. The best dancer of the evening will win a cash prize of $100.
The Hip Hop Culture Center has utilized its massive 8,000 square foot facility to serve as a classroom, rehearsal space, and more importantly a vehicle of community. As a venue, the Hip Hop Culture Center is one of a kind in aesthetics as well as capability.
