The Black and White Ball, St. Louis’ premier celebrity gala party, returns to kick off the 2008 holiday season. Hosted by music superstar Nelly, the formal party, a highlight of the city’s social calendar, will feature a performance by 4x Grammy-Award winning R&B group Boyz II Men. At the event, Nelly, Lindenwood University’s Black Student Union, and Plaza Motors will also announce the launch of a new scholarship program which will provide two students from the St. Louis region with 4-year full-tuition scholarships/grants to Lindenwood University. In addition, Plaza Motors will present one lucky guest with a 2-year lease to a Lexus ES350 as a door prize.
In its brief history, the Black and White Ball has attracted a variety of celebrity and athlete guests — previous attendees at the Black and White Ball have included Janet Jackson, Allen Iverson, D.L. Hughley, Evander Holyfield, Ruben Studdard, Jim Edmonds, and Torry Holt.
