MYERS, FLORIDA – On October 14, 2008 Big Gates/SlipNSlide/Atlantic recording artist PLIES sophomore album "Definition of Real" was awarded a Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The gold certification marks Plies 2nd consecutive RIAA Gold award in less than one year, his first was received in June of 2008 for his national debut album the "The Real Testament." "The Definition of Real" debuted on June 10, 2008 selling over 215,000 units its first week, redefining history as the most albums sold in the first week by a Florida rap artist. The "Definition of Real" spawned the chart topping singles "Bust It Baby Pt. 2" featuring Neyo and "Please Excuse My Hands" featuring Jamie Foxx and The Dream.
