Hot out of St. Louis, and already a long-established staple in the streets of the Midwest, with a host of successful mixtapes, tours and radio singles under his belt, Just Black aka Jus Bleezy is poised to give fans a precursory taste of his own brand of Midwestern magic with the October 21st release of Go Hard or Go Home, hosted by the legendary DJ Khaled. Also featuring long-time friends Rick Ross, Murphy Lee and Fat Joe, this compelling 16-track mixtape is sure to whet the appetite of any fan of that street music that no one delivers quite like Jus Bleezy.
Growing up on some of the meanest streets of St. Louis, Jus Bleezy quickly became intimately familiar with their codes of violence. During those years, he often found himself on street corners, spitting volcanic tales of those codes and their consequences, until his distinctive, blatant-hustler style and gritty flow had made him a household name in the underground music scene of his hometown. It was these same codes that eventually landed Bleezy lying bullet-riddled on a sidewalk, with a chalk outline drawn around his body by detectives, presumed dead.
Jus Bleezy survived however and decided to redirect his hustle to the music industry, forming the Black on Black/Quit Playin' Entertainment (BOBQP) independent label he now runs with his colleague Guccio. Bleezy's first radio single as a solo artist, Women Ain't All Bad, enjoyed prominent rotation at Urban and Rhythmic formats for several months, bringing his hustle to the attention of the majors. This and the sales of his many mixtapes caused Universal Records to seek him out and offer him a joint venture deal for his JBE (Jus Bleezy Entertainment) offshoot label via Universal/Fontana. His major label debut will be in stores in early 2009.
More recently, Bleezy's Drumma Boy-produced song, I'm Coming For Ya, caught the attention of the producers at MTV's new reality show, From G's to Gents and it recently made its network television debut there. A music video to his lead single was also just shot and is currently in the editing stage.
October sees the beginning of Jus Bleezy's multi-city promo tour and the dates are provided at the bottom of this email. He is available for all media opportunities in each city so please hit us up with your requests.
Below is a link to download Jus Bleezy's first single, Bosses. We encourage you to post it on your websites, put it on your mixtapes and add it to rotation. If the success of his previous effort, Like Me ft. Trey Songz, is anything to go by, you can't go wrong with this one.
