CityStream Live, TheThingToDoNow.com, Register To Speak Out! and Rock the Vote present the Voice in the Hood Voter Registration Concert & BBQ This Saturday!!!!
FORT WORTH, TEXAS (September 25, 2008) – CityStream Live, TheThingToDoNow.com, Register To Speak Out!™ and Rock the Vote present the Voice in the Hood Voter Registration Concert & BBQ on September 27, 2008. Organized by T.L. Nobles and Register To Speak Out! Co-Director Charles "CITY" Gbadebo, this FREE family event will take place at Kiest Park from 3 pm to 8 pm. Kiest Park is located at 3080 Hampton Road, Dallas, TX 75224.
The highly-anticipated event will bring in over 800+ members of the Dallas Community. The event goal is to get the community educated about the voting process and providing an environment to register to vote. Local entertainers will perform, local vendors will promote their products, and government officials will come out and educate the community about the voting process, voting rights, and where early voting polls are located. This is a non-partisan event to get the community involved.
The Voice in the Hood Voter Registration Concert and Barbeque looks to also serve two important causes; (1) be a socio-economic initiative to bring high-quality entertainment to the Southwestern sector of Dallas, Texas and (2) to make sure that everyone that attends is registered to vote. One of the event’s organizers, Charles "City" Gbadebo, is the Co-Director of the Register To Speak Out!™ voting initiative with Urban Music/Entertainment Executive, Vincent "Young Heartbreak" Tucker. The non-partisan campaign aims to register 100,000 new voters for the November Presidential Election.
