(CHICAGO) August 18, 2008 – Tizzle and Streetz representing Chicago and NW Indiana great musical soundscape prepares to perform their blazing hit 'Leanin' 2 Da Side' at the 14th annual Stay in School Picnic at Union Park August 30th, 2008. 27th Ward Alderman Walter Burnett hosts this annual picnic inspiring, empowering and encouraging children to have a productive and successful school year. School supplies, food, games, transportation and live entertainment will provided by some of Chicago's hottest artists from the genres of hip-hop (Big Bane/Dutch Dinero), R&B (Ben One/Kinky Knotti), Juke (Popeye) Dance/House (Ron Carroll) and a special performance by alternative hip-hop Chicago 'icons' Qualo.
Power 92 radio personality/raptress Teefa and spoken word poet and legend Malik Yusef will serve as hosts during this all-day event.
The 14th Annual Stay in School Picnic is sponsored by Chicago Neighbors United, Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr., Committeewoman Darlena Williams-Burnett, Committeeman Jesse White, and State Representative Ken Dukin.
Tizzle and Streetz continue their plight as emerging artists whose voice is from the next generation who know that with hard work, faith and tenacity you can accomplish your dreams. This translates to students who focus on their education and take higher education to another level for their future.
The 4 song EP is now available on I-Tunes, Yahoo Music, Rhapsody, MSN, E-Connect, Liquid Audio, Napster, E-music and Amazon.com and wherever digital downloads are sold. The tracks on their Heat City/Warner Music Group debut EP include "What U On, " "In Da Trunk, "So Fine" and the infectious anthem "Leanin' 2 Da Side." This duo is in the process of recording more songs to complete their forthcoming full-length CD to be released later this year or early 2009.

About 27th Ward Alderman Walter Burnett: Burnett grew up in the Cabrini Green public housing project, in Chicago. Burnett attended Harold Washington College and University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received his associate's degree. In 1998, he earned his bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University while working as a fulltime alderman.
Burnett joined the Young Democrats of Cook County in 1989 and served as their Chairman for two terms; as Chairman, he tried to motivate and educate young people to become involved in the political process. Burnett also had an 11 year career working for the Cook County government, where he had a variety of jobs including working as special assistant to Jesse White who was then Cook County Recorder of Deeds. Burnett later worked on Jesse White's campaign for Illinois Secretary of State.
In his first year as alderman, Burnett organized the first Stay in School Picnic, which grew into an annual event which feeds 5,000 people and hands out school supplies to 2,000 school children.
Burnett is vice-Chairman of the Health Committee. He serves on six additional committees: Budget and Government Operations; Buildings; Committees, Rules, and Ethics; Education; Finance; and Transportation and the Public Way. About Tizzle and Streetz: The duo has been performing together since they were teenagers. Tizzle (Toney Campbell) and Streetz (Lance Lucas) have traveled to Miami and worked with Grammy-award winning producer/rapper Wyclef Jean while performing at various showcases and festivals throughout the South, East Coast and Midwest as well as creating mixtapes building a buzz in the Dirty South . Recently, they performed twice to huge crowds at Chicago's Puerto Rican Festival (second largest to New York City celebration and largest in the Midwest) the Global Mixx stage and the Chevy Stage.
