Toronto, ON – August 18, 2008 – Sound Supremacy Entertainment, Inc., is again opening the floodgates for up-and-coming Canadian Beatmakers / Producers to compete in the groundbreaking Battle of the Beat Makers (BBM). As one of the few remaining Canadian events that serve as a platform for launching urban talent and the only event that has launched the careers of up-and-coming Canadian producers, BBM is in a class by itself. As a result, the judges for the upcoming BBM VI will draw from some of the most reputable producers that have shined in BBM throughout the years.
Ric Notes – The 1st producer to win a BBM Battle Royale (32-producer showdown), which netted him a $2,000 cash prize. He is also the only producer to win every BBM competition he has entered, 3-for-3. Recently, he produced a track which has received radio play in New York City.
Gigz – Renowned as the only producer to score a perfect 10/10 by Wu Tang Clan producer, Mathematics, at BBM IV for one of his musical gems. He is also 1 of 2 producers to have participated in all BBM events to date and has mastered the art of beat ‘battling’, not to be confused with beat showcasing.
Boi-1da – Highly regarded as Toronto’s most sought after urban producer. Since his introduction at BBM I, he has built one of the most impressive Canadian production resumes, comparable to only a few others. His resume includes tracks for KRS One, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Jim Jones, Point Blank and Kardinal Offishall, as well as the Sportsnet Major League Baseball intro song.
One of the best ways to launch an up-and-coming producer is to get their name known and build up their production resume. As a result, we have partnered with Koch Entertainment, who will put out an official remix compilation, which will feature 12 artist(s) from Koch having some of their hottest tracks remixed by the winning producer. This CD will be heavily promoted and be made available through iTunes and numerous other outlets. In addition, the winner of Battle of the Beat Makers VI will receive an array of prizes including a chance to participate in the Dynamic Producer Chop Shop Seminar in Atlanta this November; a FREE course in the Recording Arts Program at Centennial College (to learn about Music Publishing and Business Contracts), coverage on HipHopCanada.com, Clothing, Professional Studio Time (20 hours to mix and master tracks), national coverage in Urbanology Magazine (Canada’s #1 Urban Lifestyle Magazine), as well as software (FL Studio 
and hardware (M-Audio Trigger Finger).

Battle of the Beat Makers (BBM) is Canada’s Official Producer Competition, which focuses on showcasing the talents of the hottest up-and-coming Canadian Producers. BBM is the first outlet for Canadian Producers to showcase their talents in a live setting and has featured over 250 Producers to date.
