brand management business signs the new voice of indie hip-hop

Brooklyn Bodega, the creators and producers of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival announced today the signing of Brooklyn's own Fresh Daily to their newly launched Brooklyn Bodega Brand Management, the newest venture from the creative collective responsible for New York's premier annual Hip-Hop event. Brooklyn Bodega will work with Fresh Daily by helping develop and strengthen his human brand with a mix of new media and grassroots marketing and consulting.
Brooklyn Bodega president Wes Jackson, "Through the Festival we worked intimately with several special record labels, production companies, artists, and fashion designers. Many on the same business and ideological path as us. Now that the Festival is over we have decided to continue to work with several of these brands further. The worm is turning in our business and there are plenty of businesses and artists poised to exploit the new and emerging business model to the fullest. We want to be in business with these people. We want to be in the Fresh Daily business."
Fresh Daily, himself, added, "I'm excited to be working with a Brooklyn based company like Brooklyn Bodega that has a strong reputation for working with quality hip-hop. This is the beginning of a new era in hip-hop. I'm proud to helm this era alongside a strong team."
Jackson added, "This is a new type of deal for a new era in business. We are working with Fresh Daily, the brand, not just Fresh Daily the artist. Artists can no longer base their income on the sale of recorded music. Same with Verizon or Apple, today's artist has to diversify and expand their revenue streams. Recorded music, touring, publishing, merchandising, licensing - these are the ways today's artist will survive. Record deals are no longer the end game. They are an interchangeable part of a larger plan. Fresh Daily gets it and we are about to change the rules to 'this thing of ours'."
Brooklyn Bodega will be bringing a wealth of experience and contacts to the Brand Management business. Services will include new media marketing, online PR, grassroots marketing, film and TV licensing, tour management, infrastructure development, and event production.
Brooklyn Bodega will be announcing the signing of more clients in the coming weeks.
