For some, it might seem extraordinaire a work ethic quite like his, DJ L "The Master Key" personifies struggle, hard work and success! In 2002, the multi-talented young dj began his musical journey -interning at Def Jam records as well as entering the mixtape circuit — and has been climbing up the ranks ever since. To date, L has become a popular fixture in the New York City nightlife, where he built a reputation, which had him spinning all over, making stops in Orlando, Texas, Chicago, Atlanta, LA, Canada, Haiti, Jamaica, Antigua, Switzerland, Germany, Japan just to name a few. Not to mention, L is an awarded mixtape dj, one of the leading mixtape purveyor in US as well as internationally.
His latest project has evolved Dj L, from a mixtape dj to an executive. He is heavily in the streets and in the clubs and knows what is missing in music — by contributing to his second love. L wants to create music that will speak to the people, give hope and motivate people to "Take it to the top!" L has enlisted the talent of east coast heavyweight rappers to unite under one song, "Take it to the Top." The song features reggae legend, Junior Reid, popular rappers, Sheek Louch and Cassidy; as well as, up and coming popular lyricist, Harlem’s Cash and buzz worthy Joell Ortiz. "Take it to the Top" is produced by no other, Dre Knight — Dre has worked with the likes of Teairra Marie, Kanye West, LL Cool J, Freeway, Kim Davis, Sizzla just to name a few. "Take it to the Top" is sure to become the next siren song of the streets.
