Las Vegas (August 28, 2008) Maurice "ENY$E" Rutledge, 29, Owner/CEO of CRUNK USA™ clothing and former Radio DJ pays tribute to The Million DJ March with the launch of his signature "Hustlers Pair-A-Dice" mixtape series.  In today’s sluggish economy, ENY$E, thinks outside the box and embraces unconventional marketing efforts to connect with consumers and specialty retail outlets via the creative skill-set he learned as a On-Air personality/DJ.  When asked about his influences ENY$E states, "I was on the same radio station as Jack "The Rapper" Gibson (widely known as the Godfather of Black Radio) before his passing and he opened my eyes to the responsible use of the power and influence that comes with being a successful DJ.  I spent many hours in the studio with Jack "The Rapper" and he always motivated me to set high goals, which is why I am encouraging all DJ’s to pursue their own ventures as owners and not as employees for hire." ~ENY$E

Interscope Recording Artist Charles Hamilton Creates New Innovative Way Of Touring

THE HAMILTONIZATION PROCESS

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ — Already critically-acclaimed debuting Interscope recording artist, Charles Hamilton, joins forces with the top hip-hop and urban music blogs on the web along with leading social media network imeem.com, to create "The Hamiltonization Process." "The Hamiltonization Process" is a 3-month, 8-site tour that begins on Tuesday, September 2nd on okayplayer.com and ends on Tuesday, December 9th on onsmash.com. An insightful trailer for "The Hamiltonization Process" can be viewed at http://www.iamnotcharleshamilton.com/.

"The Hamiltonization Process" is designed to demonstrate Charles Hamilton’s prolific musical talent as well as showcase his versatility and creativity. The tour will travel in cyberspace instead of the conventional on-the-road style of touring in an effort to reach close to two (2) million unique visitors combined instead of thousands potentially going city to city. New music from Charles Hamilton will be premiered exclusively on each site for two weeks using embedded imeem playlists to give the listener a steady flow of what’s new with Charles Hamilton. After the two weeks the music will be circulated to the other participants of the tour. Fans can use imeem’s embeddable widgets to stream Charles Hamilton’s playlists on their own blogs and social networking profiles.

The new music for the tour will be provided by DJ Skee, Charles Hamilton’s official DJ, who will mix and present the music to the participants. In addition to new music being released, Charles Hamilton will provide the visitor a peak into his daily life.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Charles Hamilton was exposed to music at an early age. "My mother was an entertainment journalist for the Cleveland Call and Post, so she would take me with her to events when I was just a baby." His mother always made sure he had an instrument around him. She put different kinds of instruments in the basement of their Cleveland home, but he naturally gravitated to the keyboard. "At first, I was just playing the rhythm of the songs I would hear," says Hamilton. "The older I got, the more proficient I got at hearing the notes." For most of his life, he was self taught, picking up the lead and bass guitar in his teenage years, as well as the drums and harmonica. He says listening to other genres of music, being exposed to different cultures and experiencing life helped mold his musical sound.

His upcoming debut solo album will illustrate his ideas for the future of music. "It is, without question, a hip-hop album," says Hamilton. "At the same time, I embody different genres of music to express different feelings and emotions that I feel in my everyday life. My music is ALWAYS based on my life. My happiness, my sins, my heartbreak, my anger, my quirkiness, my everything is given in my music. The music I grew up listening to told a story. So I’m taking the music I grew up with, as well as my story, AS WELL as my musicianship, to bring about a new sound. I don’t want to sound redundant and talk about myself all the time, but I hope my story can help someone else’s life. If my life were to be a movie, it would be the Antoine Fisher story all over again, but with a killer soundtrack and without a military background."

  Early praise on Charles Hamilton:
XXL:  Charles Hamilton "is not a typical rapper … "

LA Times: "Hamilton’s progressive production style, mixed with witty compound punchline raps, is earning him a following in the music industry."

The Source: "The label doesn’t want me to change and I’m honored that they want me to continue doing what I do and just polish it."

The Fader: "I’m more of a blogger than a rapper and just a musician who just happens to rap."

Global Music Group, Inc. of Delaware Makes Offer for Assets of Death Row Records

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ — Global Music Group, Inc. a corporation incorporated in the State of Delaware (GMG Delaware) today submitted an offer to the Trustee in the Death Row Records bankruptcy proceeding in Los Angeles, California to acquire the Assets of Death Row Records for the sum of $24 million if the bid of Global Music Group of New York (GMG New York) is deemed terminated by the Court. Last week, the Trustee for the bankruptcy estate filed to terminate the rights of GMG New York because they had not yet successfully completed the transaction.

On June 24, 2008 the Court awarded the winning bid in the bankruptcy sale of the assets of Death Row Records for $24 million dollars to the party that applied to bid for the assets on June 10, 2008. GMG Delaware has contended it was the rightful bidder but the Court identified GMG New York in error.

After GMG Delaware filed suit against GMG New York, the parties reached a settlement on August 6, 2008 which contemplated GMG New York financing the acquisition and sharing equity with GMG Delaware.

Michael J. Collesano, Esq., GMG Delaware’s General Counsel and Senior Vice President explained, "Until today, GMG Delaware has been content to await GMG New York’s funding of the deal and has not exercised its rights directly. At this time, however, GMG Delaware is not confident in GMG New York’s ability to finance the transaction, GMG New York has denied GMG Delaware any access to information concerning their alleged financing, and the Trustee has moved to terminate GMG New York’s rights to the acquisition."

"Independent of GMG New York, GMG Delaware has obtained a solid Funding Commitment for the full purchase price and has shared its funding commitment with the Trustee," Collesano said.

"We have every belief that GMG Delaware can and will fund the acquisition if provided the opportunity by the Trustee and with consent of the Court, and we feel that our original bid was misidentified in good faith. We hope GMG New York raises the funds necessary to close the deal. However, in lieu of the Trustee’s present position and without information from GMG New York, GMG Delaware has our own funds to close and are offering to purchase the Assets for the same price if GMG New York’s rights are deemed terminated."

"GMG Delaware is confident that it can complete the purchase and that its bid represents the best return to the creditors of the bankruptcy estate for the Trustee."

GMG Delaware and Alliance stand ready to satisfy the Trustee and the Court that its funds are available and deliver them within a commercially reasonable and limited period of time.

Kottonmouth Kings Considered Obscene By Citizens Of Vail, CO

Kottonmouth Kings’ Tenth Studio Release, "The Green Album", Featuring X-Clan and Tech N9ne Due In Stores October 28th, 2008

Despite their efforts to spread a message of peace and positivity, California rip-hop hybrids the Kottonmouth Kings were slammed by citizens of Vail, CO who filed complaints to the town of Vail’s Commission on Special Events after the group performed at the city’s Spring Back to Vail concert back in April along with rapper Snoop Dogg.

In a recent story entitled "Keeping Vail’s Concerts Clean" published by the Vail Daily newspaper the Kings were cited for condoning illegal behavior, while promoters were urged to "take another look at who they allow to perform during both ticketed and free concerts in city limits." The Vail Special Events coordinator Sybill Navas was also quoted as saying, "We would prefer that they were not brought back under the town’s sponsorship," when asked if the town of Vail ever allow the Kottonmouth Kings back.

In an open letter addressed to the Vail Daily, Kottonmouth Kings frontman Brad "Daddy X" had the following response:

"God bless America! In 2008 and we are still talking about censoring artists. I bet these right wing zealots have quite a porn collection stashed in their closets. While we are at it let’s ban dirty dancing, lock up the TV and close down the movie theaters. Let’s ban Olympic athletes from competing if they protest the Chinese government, let’s cover women with veils from head to toe in garments so they are not provocative. I understand a free community production and family entertainment (I even have a young daughter of my own), but the Kottonmouth Kings concert had a cover charge to get in; we didn’t force anyone to be there."

"Come to think of it church is free, maybe we should put censorship stickers on bibles, because in the pages seems to be a lot of rhetoric about war violence, rape, incest and sex, so I hope they don’t let their children hear that stuff."

"It’s funny how people get upset about a group like the Kottonmouth Kings (who spread a message of peace and good vibrations), yet when we were in town there was a bar on every corner and more drunk idiots roaming the streets then I can count. Goes to show you that alcohol is America’s drug of choice."

Peace,

EVERYTHING IS BORROWED OUT OCTOBER 7 ON VICE RECORDS

Mike Skinner, aka The Streets, will be delivering his fourth album, everything is borrowed October 7th on Vice Records. Never one to take the same approach twice, Skinner is contemplating the impermanent nature of life this time around. Skinner has made a record to console the lonely and bring a smile to the saddest visage. Applying his homespun hip-hop sensibility to real instruments, Mike comes up with sing-a-long musings on such unconventional subjects as religion ("Alleged Legends"), evolution ("The Way of the Dodo"), biological destiny ("On the Edge of a Cliff"), and male friendship ("The Sherry End"). From the first time people heard The Streets’ Mercury Prize-nominated debut Original Pirate Material, they couldn’t make their minds up whether the person making this music was black or white, from London or the Midlands, serious or a joker. Having given the world plenty of time to get acclimated, Skinner now rediscovers his old irrepressible buoyancy and takes his trademark stop-start lyrical flow to entirely new places.

"British MC Mike Skinner is a pale-faced poet laureate Š the geezer is so real it hurts." – SPIN

"Mike Skinner is to hazy slacker downtime what Hunter S Thompson is to Americana: a shrewd chronicler, a dizzying blurrer of creative forms." – INTERVIEW

"It’s important to note that Mike Skinner (aka the Streets) is pop music’s rarest commodity: a singular talentŠimplausibly imaginative." – ESQUIRE

"Skinner’s ear for language and detail is vivid and hilarious. Call it Zen Hooliganism – ROLLING STONE

Skinner, though, is life’s real deal, an artists who knows that, if rendered honestly, even mundane experiences can produce the most powerful music." – NEW YORK MAGAZINE
