Dame Grease took time off from his busy schedule to devote his time to the youth of FREE TEENS USA over the weekend
New York, NY - March 31, 2008 - Dame Grease composed an instrumental that would normally retail for over $20,000 on the spot at the Free Teens USA 2008 Media Summit in Fairview Lake, NJ this past weekend. Grease donated the track to the students at the summit, and the teens wrote their own song to the instrumental during their songwriting workshop. The song will soon be available for digital distribution online. Grease also fielded questions about the music industry from approximately 50 students at the local YMCA lodge.
Dame Grease was invited by the Free Teens U.S.A. board to participate in the 2008 Media Summit Workshop as the music production instructor. The workshop was composed of media professionals in the fields of film/video production, theatre, dance, music/recording production, photojournalism, spoken word and digital media. The workshop was developed as a platform to encourage the youth to be inspired and motivate their vision of future decisions in their lives through positive media .
