Atlanta, GA – The World Famous Mic Club, named Atlanta’s Best Live Show by Creative Loafing 2007 has severed ties with the Apache Cafe after a successful six year run. The Apache Cafe grand finale will take place, Tuesday, March 18th, 2008.

A staple on the Atlanta nightlife scene since 2001, 4Kings Entertainment’s The World Famous Mic Club, has been graced by top notch, award winning artist such as Talib Kweli, 9th Wonder, and Diamond D among others. Known for producing highly acclaimed shows and series such as The Behind the Boards Series, The Mighty Mighty Beatdown and Crowd Control, The World Famous Mic Club also served as weekly watering hole for local hip-hop culture enthusiasts. D.R.E.S. tha Beatnik Creator & Host of The World Famous Mic Club says, "The World Famous Mic Club has been an essential keystone in the development of the Atlanta Underground Hip Hop Community for over 6 Years, we’ve overcome a number of tremendous obstacles to make the Show among Atlanta & the Nation’s Elite Live Events and have done it consistently with a record of 336 Consecutive Shows." He further goes on to say, "We took our Record and reputation for Excellence to the negotiation table and proposed a deal that would keep both sides happy as we move forward. However, the Ownership of the Apache Café didn’t think that Mutual growth was in their best interest by insulting the process and the Personnel behind it. We felt that it was time to take our show to bigger and better heights."

The World Famous Mic Club’s Apache Grand Finale takes place on Tuesday, March 18th, 2008. The show features true school hip hop music as well as free-style battles from some of Atlanta’s best MCs. Doors open at 10pm and admission for The World Famous Mic Club’s Grand Finale at the Apache Café is $10.
