Atlanta, GA - Jan 10, 2008 Atlanta along with a worldwide audience will meet its newest late night talk radio duo in Janol "Mecca" Holmes and Christal "CC" Jordan-Mims on Friday January 11, 2008 at 10 pm on WAOK 1380 AM for the premiere of SLAMradio with Mecca & CC. Legendary hip hop pioneer Chuck D. serves as executive producer of the show.
SLAMradio with MECCA & CC is a progressive news- based program with a provocative in your face hip hop edge. The show addresses and attempts to evoke ongoing conversation on current issues and events affecting the urban community locally and nationally in the world of entertainment and politics. There will also be occasional shows in regards to relationships and family and with subject matter experts on hand. Calls will be taken within the studio from listeners abroad including international listeners via the web. The show will take a revolutionary 'pound the pavement' grassroots approach locally by doing remotes in popular metro Atlanta locations such as the AUC center, the Harlem Bar, Apache café and many other places within the urban community. The purpose of the show is to awaken and empower today's generation x as well as to keep everyone informed, educated as well as entertained.

Co-host Christal "CC" Jordan-Mims is an award-winning author/journalist and president of Enchanted PR, an entertainment- based public relations firm based in Atlanta, GA. The discussion will focus on the perks and pitfalls of society's obsession with celebrity life. The 2008 Presidential debate will also be discussed. Chuck D. will moonlight as a special guest along with southern rap pioneer Bun B.
