Jahi, a socially political Hip Hop artist on Slamjamz Records, will have his first single "HERE IT IS" handed out at all 217 Guitar Center retail locations starting January 8th via a Tunecore promotional CD. There will be 50,000 promotional CD’s given away for free, featuring 14 different bands including Chuck D, and Jahi will be featured on the back cover of the January 8th Guitar Center Buyers Guide.
In addition, Jahi’s single "Here It Is" will be officially released on iTunes on January 29th, 2008, and will be promoted and featured on 300 college radio stations in the Spring 2008 via Ourstage.com.
The video for "Here It Is" is currently in production, and is slated for release in March 2008. The song is straight ahead Hip Hop celebrating the socially conscious side of emceeing. The music was produced by Hungarian producers, "The Beat Sense Crew."
Jahi is currently booking a West Coast tour, and planning the release of his first book, Journeys in Hip Hop Vol. 1 this summer. The book chronicles his life experiences in Hip Hop with stories about touring with Blackalicious, Public Enemy, and releasing his 6th solo album on EMI Music in Europe in 2006. There will also be a CD insert featuring Jahi’s new album "Intelligent Movement."
