Hip-Hop Group THE NAPPY ROOTS to release "THE HUMDINGER" Summer 2007

Their sincere southern conscious approach has, for over a decade, stabilized them as one of the South's most consistently successful and respected rap groups.

After years of spreading southern hip-hop around the globe, working with directors Joel and Ethan Coen and executive music producer T-Bone Barnette for the film soundtrack "The Ladykillers", lacing their music on multi-media gaming ventures like the mega popular MADDEN NFL, receiving major American music industry award accolades, topping the American music charts with singles from their platinum and gold albums Watermelon, Chicken and Gritz ("Country Boyz", "Awnaw", "Headz Up", "Po' Folks" Wooden Leather ) and ( "Roun' the Globe", "Sick & Tired"), these Kentucky-based country fellas still manage to maintain the creative formula that has been paying off for years; One-part honest music mixed with Two-parts down south swagger. The end result: classic music.

The Nappy Roots have come a long way from their humble beginnings in Kentucky but 'Ain't Nuthin' Changed'! They continue to convey three things sorely lacking in rap nowadays: sincerity, passion and consistency.  Summer of 2007, welcomes their highly-anticipated album "The Humdinger" and is set to be yet another Nappy Roots classi! c. Not to mention they are bringing 'the heat' with ferocious beats from some of the industry's top producers!

As the title suggests, The Humdinger, is indeed, 'The Mother of All Mothers' and represents global hip-hop at its best. Remaining true to their roots, the album remains loyal to fans by incorporating Watermelon, Chicken and Gritz hit-producer, James "Groove" Chambers, with additional production by David Banner, Sol Messiah, Mr. DJ, Rick Rock, Big Block, The Sol Kingz, in-house producer Joe Hop, an! d three new talented super producers out of Cashville, TN, Track Kingz.

With over sixty minutes of non-stop hip-hop, the album successfully manages to peg each member's unique personality, harmonious flows and timeless hooks and qualifies them as inventive socially and politically conscious musicians with southern packaging. They are the ying and the yang: complementary opposites. The album takes you across vast Southern realities with songs like "My Sidekick" which blends pulsating bass lines and recognizable ringtones; then moves listeners to "Boulevard Beads and Braids" that paints realistic snapshots of southern life in war times; but true southern hip-hop wouldn't flow right without straight fun, good music and party tracks like "Don't Stop" and "Rewind".

To the streets' anticipation, "The Humdinger" is blazing and this Summer '07 release can't come soon enough! Partner in rhyme Skinny DeVille promises that the record will be "some of the most honest music you can find."

Iraqi-American Rapper TIMZ Is Interviewed By MTV News After His Politically Charged Video "Iraq" Strikes A Chord On YouTube.com

Iraqi-American rapper TIMZ released a politically charged music video that recieved thousands of hits on the popular YouTube.com video website. The controversial "Iraq" video also garnered apperances on FOX News, Hannity & Colmes and top rated Mancow radio show where the hosts tried to paint TIMZ a terrorist or as un-American.  TIMZ (aka Tommy Hanna) held his own and showed he is an American who loves his country so much, he couldn't keep quiet.

MTV News picked up on the controversial video and it's impact on those that have viewed it and sat down with TIMZ for an interview in this era where the anti-war movement may be fought on-line instead of on college campuses.

The single/video “Iraq” is destined to be a true rallying cry during these difficult political times. “Dear Mr. George Bush,” TIMZ raps. “Why do you insist to make a fool of us? For over 200 years… we stood for what’s good, now we despised by our peers; And what do you...but add fuel to the fire and send in more troops. Oh the troops, God save the troops; it wasn’t their war their lies their fault. America the beautiful what did they do to you, they used you its so indisputable!”

On his fiery and autobiographical debut CD, TIMZ—aka Tommy Hanna, an American born rapper of Chaldean and Iraqi descent--gets right up in our faces, mixing explosive, Middle Eastern tinged beats with incendiary rhymes in an effort to shatter those ugly stereotypes that have plagued people who look like him since 9/11 and the start of the Iraq war.

Make no mistake, the title of TIMZ's powerful, outspoken and heavy grooving 14- track collection—a nominee for Best Hip-Hop Album at the 2006 San Diego Annual Music Awards—says it all: the San Diego born and bred artist is Open For Business.

In The Mix: The Active Ingredients to a Major Album Release

Markeith Williams and River Sity Alliance Inc. come together with artist A.O. and Legendary producer Herb Middleton to create a new sound on the streets.

(PRWEB) March 8, 2007 -- What do you get when you mix a Grammy nominated producer, a talented young artist, and the largest digital distribution platform on the planet? That is just what legendary producer "Big" Herb Middleton, artist A.O. (All Out), and River Sity Alliance CEO, Markeith Williams, intend to find out. The three men met recently to discuss various projects, but at the forefront is the new A.O. release. Herb Middleton began his own label after years of working with some of the music industry's biggest names. The multi-platinum producer turned record executive founded NuVybe Records, and has been hard at work producing new material for talented young artists. Most recently released from River Sity Alliance, NuVybe, and A.O, is coming on 3/13 with A.O.'s "Intoxicated".

A.O. is moving forward off the wind of his first effort which he self released and moved nearly 7,000 copies. So what will happen when A.O., a.k.a the Track Pusha -- the name he has earned through his hard work and die-hard mentality, joins forces with Williams and Middleton for the release of Intoxicated? "A lot of people will be surprised by not only his talent, but the depth of his perspective," mentioned Williams, "I will not be surprised by the success of this project. A.O. really understands the movement," continued Williams. The three came together to build on each other's expertise, and "We keep things open," adds A.O, the Philadelphia native now Delaware resident.

A former Wall Street financial adviser, now a personal Wealth Coach and record executive, Williams felt A.O. was ready to move into the digital arena. Using a streamlined approach and a love for music Williams has been influential in helping young artists get their music heard by audiences and fans around the world. "The unlimited shelf space the web provides is a good chance to really focus on true music lovers," Williams says after being asked why he does digital releases, "It provides an interactive stage for young people to express themselves as well as communicate a message, and grow on several different levels from the exposure," he continued.

The opportunity to build on a global scale considerably opened up with Intoxicated being a digital release. Universally understood, all three men agree, Intoxicated touches on matters of struggle, memories, strength and triumph. "I called Markeith one night and we had a conversation about where music was headed from a distribution standpoint," comments A.O, "He let me know what he thought and I just took it from there, Herb felt the same way," he continued. "Big" Herb Middleton has produced songs for artists such as Mary J. Blige, Nas and Method Man. As the three put the final changes on Intoxicated, look for a project that will speak to the streets no matter where you are from. When you add 1part platinum talent, 1part platinum producer, and 1part the largest digital distribution network on the planet -- something is bound to happen and it may even be explosive. Intoxicated can be found at digital retailers around the World such as emusic.com, Rhapsody and itunes starting March 13, 2007.

FIRST ANNUAL "A-TOWN DAY" TO BE CELEBRATED AT MORRIS BROWN COLLEGE

Promoter Brian Glasper fulfills his dream of bringing Atlanta's communities together for a day of unity, a celebration of ourselves, our health and a positive message for the future of our youth.

Atlanta, GA --- On Saturday, March 24, 2007 a host of Atlanta's most prominent healthcare and volunteer organizations, businesses, community leaders and entertainers will be in the house for what is coined to become one of the most ambitious and substantive annual community celebrations Atlanta has seen in a long time. FATL (Future of Atlanta) Productions’ first annual “A-TOWN DAY” will be held at Morris Brown College from 12 – 7 pm and hosted by radio sponsor V-103’s Greg Street. The day’s events will consist of health screenings by organization’s such as the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the American Diabetes Association; career and job opportunities presented by some of Atlanta’s local and nationally based businesses and the U.S. Army; presentations and contributions by the Atlanta Falcon’s Mobile Museum and the ACVB (Atlanta Convention and Visitor’s Bureau); and, support, special appearances and performances by local record label artist’s from TI’s Grand Hustle Records, Young Jeezy’s CTE Records, Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon Records, Jermaine Dupri’s SoSo Def Records, Ludacris’s DTP Records, BME, Atlantic Records, Warner Brothers Records, Universal Records, Konvict Music, Atlanta’s Superfriends DJ Pool and Florida’s SlipNSlide Records to name a few.

“A TOWN DAY” promoter Brian Glasper has been cooking up this idea for a long time and was waiting for the right time and the right team to come together to make it happen. “My father was a victim of diabetes a few years ago and part of the reason he did not survive it was because of a lack of access to medical resources and education about the disease,” stated Glasper. “Ever since his death I have been trying to figure out a way that I could help prevent this kind of tragedy from happening to others so I decided that the best way to spread the word and educate the community was going to be by bringing people together and delivering the message in a positive and uplifting environment – thus, the birth of “A-TOWN DAY”.” Not only has he created a way to bring the message of healthcare to his community, Glasper has also managed to bring this event around full circle by also gaining the support of some of Atlanta’s local businesses to talk about careers and jobs and is hoping to see some of Atlanta’s community leader’s such as Mayor Shirley Franklin and Atlanta City Council President Lisa Borders show up to share some words of inspiration about the City with Atlanta’s families and youth attending the event.

Carlos Coleman, community outreach director of The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation and CEO of C Fox Productions, has played a key role in inspiring and encouraging Glasper to get the event off the ground and is working on the event’s planning committee along with local publicity and events companies including Kim Ellis of KE Consulting and Ms. Brooklyn of Ms. Brooklyn Productions. The event has also gained the support of one of Atlanta’s most loved and embraced historical organizations “The Friends of Sweet Auburn” who are promoting the event on their website and in the historical community they represent.

In addition to the event’s other aspects, Glasper decided to get Atlanta’s local high school’s involved by inviting them to sell tickets to the event in order to raise money for various extra curricular student activities such as their bands and student government associations. Each school that participates will keep 20 percent of the proceeds of the total number of tickets they sell.

“A-TOWN DAY” promises to be entertaining, will be an event the whole family can enjoy and has aspirations of becoming a staple event for the city and an inspiration for other cities to follow. Tickets for the event are $10 prior to the event and available at DTLR retail outlets and participating local high schools. Tickets will be $15 the day of the event.

For more information regarding the event contact FATL Productions at 404.434.6631, go to www.myspace.com/atownday, visit the website at www.fatlproductions.com or via email at atownday@gmail.com.

H3's Front Page News: Opportunist Chooses H3's "Team of Champions" for Cover Story

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- (Market Wire - Mar 07, 2007) --  Joining the likes of Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ted Turner, a trio of H3's (PINKSHEETS: HTRE) brightest new stars (Ben Gordon, Juelz Santana, and Warren Sapp) will be adorning the cover of one of the most prophetic financial publications of our time, Opportunist Magazine, a truly powerful periodical that can boast and document that it's been uncovering "Tomorrow's Opportunities Today" for over twelve years. The story features an inside look at the H3 business model and the impact it's stirring up on The Street through the eyes and personal experiences of Financial Reporter Gayle Sims.

Under the headline "Hip Hop Hits Wall Street," The Opportunist takes an unabashed look at TEAM H3: Warren Sapp Superbowl Champion with the Tampa Bay Bucs, present Defensive Tackle for the Oakland Raiders (same team he defeated in Superbowl XXXVII) and future Hall of Famer; Ben Gordon, Chicago Bulls top-scoring point guard best known for his ability to pull his team through in the clutch; and Juelz Santana, one of hip hop's most recognized and sought after front guys.

These men have now joined an elite group of financial geniuses and superstar talents who previously graced The Opportunist's cover in the earlier stages of their success. In an effort to introduce readers to what The Opportunist's visionaries believe to be the next big thing, H3 was the first company selected in their arduous task of research and reporting as they prepared for their resurgence onto newsstands in two weeks. Inclusion in this prestigious publication continues the stride for H3 as it carves its niche in some of the largest and fastest growing businesses of our time while proudly proclaiming its status as the first publicly traded company dedicated to the hip hop culture and community and making good on the responsibilities that this title entails.

The H3 champions named above are a great vehicle of this message. Warren Sapp is known as one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL since his rookie season in 1995 and plans to apply the same dominance to opening sodashops throughout Florida. Ben Gordon, a superior athlete who has consistently shown his desire to win when everything's on the line supports the H3 message of better health and wellness by introducing H3's first white tea energy drink to the market.

Juelz Santana is the voice, a master communicator fully committed to speaking to his audience about being a part of H3. He uses whatever platform he's given to discuss the power of Wall Street, the importance of investment, and the fact that HTRE gives the entire Hip Hop Generation the opportunity to invest in their own culture, their own communities and in things they enjoy doing the most.

While commitments to athleticism and music have clearly dominated their illustrious careers, Ben, Juelz, and Warren also represent the economic empowerment that the Hip Hop culture can bring about through businesses like H3, a community-conscious model that encompasses growth through equal access to education and investment in an environment designed to educate and energize our youth in areas that are presently underdeveloped.

With the release of The Opportunist cover story, currently available online at www.opportunistmagazine.com and www.h3inc.com, TEAM H3, Warren, Ben and Juelz will be available for interviews that can be done in conjunction with their busy schedules.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Ready With 'Strength and Loyalty' to Be Released April 17th

SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Multi-platinum recording artists Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will release their long-awaited Interscope/Full Surface debut, "Strength and Loyalty," on April 17, 2007. "I Tried," a track that features Akon is the album's lead single. Mariah Carey rejoins Bone on the melodic "Little Love," the album's second single produced by Jermaine Dupri. Another album gem is the track "Order My Steps," which pairs Bone with Grammy award winning gospel artist Yolanda Adams marking her first appearance on a hip hop album.

"Man, I just feel fortunate to be able to put together something of this quality. We've been working on it for some time now, and everyone involved has been focused on making a classic. I think that's what we've done," said Layzie Bone of the new LP. Wish Bone adds, "I'm really excited to be back on a major label and have the opportunity to introduce a new generation to Bone Thugs n Harmony."

This is the major-label return of the Grammy-winning super-group, now a trio (Layzie Bone, Wish Bone, and Krayzie Bone), who have been busy in the studio working with hit makers Akon, Swizz Beats, Will.I.Am, Jermaine Dupri and Neo Da Matrix.

While recording Strength and Loyalty, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony members found time to work on outside projects. Krayzie Bone snagged another Grammy nomination for his appearance on Chamillionaire's 2006 hit single, "Ridin'." "Being a part of Chamillionaire's smash 'Ridin' was incredible, I'm excited to keep the momentum going with the Strength and Loyalty Bone project," states Krayzie Bone.

In addition to Akon, Mariah Carey and Yolanda Adams, "Strength and Loyalty" features The Game, Twista, Bow Wow and an unreleased verse from affiliated Bone member Flesh-N-Bone, who is currently incarcerated. Best known for their mega-hits, including "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," "1st Of Tha Month," and "Tha Crossroads," and chart-topping LPs (E 1999 Eternal and The Art of War), Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has sold over 30 million albums to date. "Strength and Loyalty" will be their seventh original full-length release.

Classic Line-Up of Groundbreaking SoCal Band Reunite For New Album Slated For Late Summer Release

NEW YORK, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The multi-platinum hard rock band P.O.D. -- whose pioneering fusion of hip-hop, metal and reggae elements with a spiritually-based worldview helped launch a new American musical movement -- has signed with INO/Columbia Records, it was announced today by Steve Barnett, Chairman, Columbia Records and Jeff Moseley, President, INO Records.

The band's inaugural album for INO/Columbia Records, slated for release in late summer 2007, will be the first to feature the classic original P.O.D. line-up -- Sonny (vocals), Wuv (drums), Traa (bass), and returning member Marcos (guitar) -- since the group's triple platinum masterpiece, "Satellite," was released on September 11, 2001. P.O.D. is currently in Los Angeles working on album pre-production with producer Jay Baumgardner.

"P.O.D. is an exciting and an important band with an expansive musical vision and a powerful message for our times," said Mr. Barnett. "It is a great pleasure to welcome them to Columbia Records."

"I have been a big fan of P.O.D. for years and it's a thrill to be working with them," said Mr. Moseley. PricewaterhouseCoopers' Outlook: 2007 Expected to Be a Robust Year for U.S. Entertainment and Media Transactions

With a Flurry of Mega Deals Expected to Close This Year, 2007 Activity Should Surpass 2006

NEW YORK, March 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The flood of mega private equity transactions in the entertainment and media (E&M) sector announced in the last two quarters of 2006, along with strong deal activity in early 2007, will lead to an even more robust year of transactions, according to PricewaterhouseCoopers' E&M Transaction Services practice. Its new study, 2007 M&A Insights - US Entertainment and Media Industry, reports that 132 deals announced in 2006 are slated to close in 2007. Building on this backlog of deal activity, both corporate buyers reacting to competitive pressures and changing technologies and private equity funds flush with cash are expected to continue investing in the sector. This could make 2007 a stronger year than 2006, when 282 disclosed deals valued at $114.6 billion were completed, a level not seen since 2002 when deal value was $118.6 billion.

"We expect private equity buyers to pick up speed this year as funds continue raising record amounts of money and firms continue to invest in the E&M sector," said Thomas M. Rooney, Transaction Services leader of the US Entertainment & Media Practice. "Factors such as continued technological convergence, shifting consumer content consumption and evolving technology will afford new opportunities for strategic acquisitions."

The total number of sector deals in 2006, including those where transaction value was not provided, increased 13 percent to 981. This represents a 10 percent compound annual growth rate from 2002 through 2006.

Erik Miller, Transaction Services Entertainment and Media director, said, "As consumers' media options continue to expand, E&M companies will continue to pursue the optimum business model for attracting and retaining customers. These efforts should lead to deals across a number of E&M sectors, driven by the convergence between traditional print, broadcast and home video distribution plus the growing opportunities in digital content distribution."

PwC's analysis identified four key drivers of M&A activity in E&M segments, including advertising and marketing, print and broadcast, video and digital content distribution and portable media:

  * Corporate leaders will continue to impact the deal environment in a
significant way. The last two years have shown significant transactions
resulting from competitive pressures and the changing technological
landscape.  Some of these have been mergers of public companies, while
others have been divestitures or "going private" deals.   Furthermore,
announced deals expected to close during 2007 are significant and
    involve many large corporations.

  * Private equity interest in the industry is growing.  Private equity
interest will be a significant factor driving deal activity in this
industry.  There were a number of mega private equity deals announced in
2006 that haven't yet closed.  According to Private Equity Intelligence,
    PE firms raised a staggering $404 billion globally -- a 28 percent
increase from 2005.  US-focused funds raised $252 billion, roughly 63
percent of the global total and a 47 percent increase from 2005.  With
so much cash at their disposal, private equity firms will seek deals
across all industries.  Also, PE firms are raising industry-focused
funds.  That said, general funds will continue to target E&M
    opportunities as well.

  * E&M companies are capitalizing on the digital platform to combat
stagnation. As consumers' media options continue to expand, the industry
is seeing increased fragmentation across viewers, listeners and readers.
This has caused some stagnation at more traditional media companies who
must now fight harder for advertising dollars. Indications are that some
companies will continue to try various combinations: buying properties,
building up owned assets, and developing new platforms.  At the same
time, E&M companies will continue to pursue the optimum business model
for attracting and retaining customers, be it subscription-based,
advertiser-supported, or a combination. These efforts should lead to
deals across a number of E&M sub-sectors, driven by the ongoing
convergence between traditional print, broadcast and home video
distribution, plus the growing opportunities in digital content
    distribution.

  * Advertisers must address convergence in ways they reach consumers.
Perhaps more than any E&M sub-sector, the advertisers that E&M companies
rely on are facing the daunting challenge of reaching consumers through
evolving technologies, such as mobile phone messaging, "bot" technology,
wired and wireless gaming, and portable media players (podcasting, among
others).  Advertisers are increasingly relying on their agencies and
partners to provide multi-channel marketing strategies that incorporate
various means to address new media, along with its opportunities and
risks.  This has led to a growing emphasis on market research,
interactive media, customer relationship-management (event marketing,
branding, promotional and field advertising), and the like.  Some deal
activity is taking place among agencies as they look beyond traditional
advertising generation and placement.  High deal volume among
independent agencies in 2006 suggests continued consolidation of that
    sector going forward.

  MICKEY AVALON

Who's got "a slick, languid flow and uproarious rhymes about pansexual, drug-addled adventures as a Hollywood slime bucket" Why, it's Mickey Avalon as Blender nailed him. Avalon's self-titled debut has been getting tons of attention thanks to the request line-jamming new single, "Jane Fonda." The Los Angeles glam rapper recently shot a video for the track which somehow pays homage to Soul Train and sleaze in one fell swoop. Avalon will spend the next few months on the road throughout the US and Australia, with stops at SXSW and The Bamboozle. http://www.mickeyavalon.com/.

Big Screen Entertainment Group Options Ron Zimmerman Script 'Standing Down'

'Hellboy's' Ron Perlman to Star

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Big Screen Entertainment Group has announced that it has optioned the screenplay "Standing Down," written by Ron Zimmerman, whose long list of credits includes the television series "Seventh Heaven," "Action" and "My Wife and Kids."

Ron Perlman is attached to both star and executive produce. Perlman is well known for his film work, which includes Guillermo Del Toro's "Hellboy" and the upcoming "Hellboy 2," "Blade 2" and "Star Trek: Nemesis." He also starred as Vincent in the critically acclaimed television series "Beauty and the Beast," which was recently released on DVD to strong sales.

"Standing Down" tells the story of Sgt. Patrick Ulysses Macklin (Perlman), a career soldier who must face the prospect of life without the US Army. Producer and BSEG CEO Kimberley Kates has long championed the script, and is confident that audiences will respond favorably to both the heartwarming and gritty elements. Producing with Kates for BSEG are Michael Manasseri and David Zappone.

Also attached is hip hop sensation Pras Michel, who will star, executive produce and contribute to the soundtrack.

In addition to Pras' work as a member of musical group The Fugees, Pras recently completed the documentary "Skid Row." Described as a "startling look at the grim destiny of poverty," it follows Pras as he "sheds all the comforts of home and co-habitates with the destitute for nine days."

"Skid Row" was directed by Michael Mann protege Marshall Tyler, who is also attached to "Standing Down." Tyler has been traveling with Oscar winner and Grammy nominee Jamie Foxx, documenting his World Tour for a possible upcoming documentary. Tyler co-directed "Diary of: Jaime Foxx," chronicling the star's "Unpredictable" tour in 2006.

"We are putting together a dynamic team to bring Ron Zimmerman's powerful script to life," said Ms. Kates.

Universal Music Publishing Group Signs Eminem to an Exclusive, Worldwide Administration Agreement

LOS ANGELES, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) announced today the signing of multi-GRAMMY award winner, Academy Award winner, multi-platinum artist/songwriter/producer, Eminem, to an exclusive, worldwide administration agreement.

The deal encompasses tracks on Eminem's multi-platinum greatest hits collection Curtain Call; the latest Shady Records offering, Eminem Presents: The Re-Up; songs co-written on 50 Cent's -- The Massacre; as well as the huge hit "Smack That" produced by Akon featuring Eminem; and new songs to be written by Eminem. The deal also includes a joint venture with Eminem's publishing company, Shady Music Publishing, allowing Eminem and manager Paul Rosenberg to sign other writers and artists.

David Renzer, Chairman & CEO, Universal Music Publishing Group states, "Eminem is an icon for millions of music fans around the globe. His success as a writer and producer for both his own records as well as other artists continues to grow. We are honored that Eminem and his representatives have chosen Universal Music Publishing Group as their new home."

As an artist, Eminem has received nine GRAMMY awards, including three for Best Rap Album (The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show); three for Best Rap Solo Performance ("My Name Is," "The Real Slim Shady," and "Lose Yourself"); one for Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group ("Forgot About Dre"); one for Best Rap Song ("Lose Yourself"); and one for Best Short Form Music Video ("Without Me"), which also earned him an Oscar. Eminem has released seven multi-platinum albums -- six of which have reigned as the Billboard No. 1 Album, including 1999's The Slim Shady LP, 2000's Marshall Mathers LP, 2002's The Eminem Show, 2004's Encore, and 2005's Curtain Call -- The Hits. He has also has had a total of sixteen different songs in the Top 10 of various Billboard Charts, bringing him fifty-three Top 10 chart positions.

Marshall B. Mathers III, a.k.a. Eminem, a.k.a. Slim Shady, has made a name for himself as a rapper, record producer and actor. Mathers got his big break when his talents were discovered by pioneer rapper and producer Dr. Dre, who signed him to his Aftermath Entertainment label, becoming a crossover sensation with his debut single "My Name Is" and simultaneously earning respect for his technical and lyrical ability.

Eminem is noted for his ability to change his vocal pace and style multiple times within one song without losing the beat, and has been widely praised for his skill in alliteration and assonance. Mathers is also infamous for the controversy surrounding many of his lyrics.

The most recent release from Aftermath was a greatest hits album from Eminem called Curtain Call: The Hits in 2005, a compilation covering many of his previous commercial hit songs, in addition to three new tracks. Mathers has taken a focused interest in producing and writing with fellow Aftermath artists as well as 50 Cent's G-Unit Records artists and rappers under his Shady Records label.

Most recently, on December 5, 2006, Shady Records released Eminem Presents The Re-Up, an album compiled in mixtape format that features Shady Records artists. Having sold over 70 million albums, Eminem is the best selling music artist of the decade so far.
