Issa has an undeniable talent. Between producing, songwriting, singing and even rapping at times, Issa still finds the time to give a show to his fans…His songwriting skills are those of the rare story tellers. In fact, he gets this quality from his African background: Senegal. "I’m used to telling stories that make you want to hear more, and hooks that will grab you from the start coz its just the culture am from. My grandma used to have the greatest stories, and I always wanted to hear more… So obviously, I believe that my listeners and fans would probably feel the same once they hear what I have to say lol -)".
Issa currently lives in Portland OR where he is attending College, finishing his business Degree in Marketing and Management. "I am not like other artists out there; I have and wanna keep my head on my shoulders and know the business I’m getting into. My music is my passion, but it is also the product that I sell. So I want to make sure that people know that I mean business, that I know business, and that I look and sound as professional as any star in this industry. That’s why I am finishing my studies while pursuing my music career".
On the underground level, Issa has just started to make his marks with his first single "Used to be The One" sitting on top of the R&B charts on soundclick.com under the name I Double S (Short for Issa).
