Bare witness to Hip-Hop’s New Online Reality Show that caters to Unsigned and Independent artists. Lyrical Roulette is an uncut look into the transformation of becoming a complete emcee and producer. The unscripted thirteen (13) Episode television pilot is filmed in HD (High-Definition) and is hosted by Du "DoItAll" Kelly of the Multi-Platinum selling Hip-Hop Group (Lords of the Underground). DoItAll sifts out the wannabes and introduces to the Hip-Hop industry a complete emcee. The crowned emcee will receive a development deal courtesy of Lord Gang Worldwide; that consists of studio time, production, promotion, press and business management assistance. While other reality shows have rappers walking through NYC for a deal, we threw unsigned rappers into various competitions from Battling to Freestyling on the spot. The series will also have guest appearances by notable Hip-Hop personalities. Each episode will also feature an unsigned producer who will use beats from their respective beat catalog during the competition.
Beatmakers and Rappers were hand picked for Lyrical Roulette Season One. Hip-Hop’s new online reality series will be aired on Myspace TV, Youtube and Sandbox TV and packaged/ distributed as a DVD on a (per season basis) via established distribution channels. Power Street Talk DVD will film Lyrical Roulette at Alkatraxx Studios in Elizabeth, NJ among various other locations. This pilot will also be presented to major networks and production houses.
Aspiring hungry rappers and beatmakers throughout the northeast auditioned for Lyrical Roulette and were narrowed down to six (6) beatmakers and eight (8) rappers. In each episode, Rappers will go head to head in competitions from Freestyling, Hip-Hop Knowledge, Rap and Beat Battling and most importantly creating songs. Beatmakers will supply beats as the rappers Freestyle, Battle and create songs with notable Hip-Hop recording artists. All songs recorded will be on the LYRICAL ROULETTE SEASON 1 THEE ALBUM. Lyrical Roulette takes an in-depth look at "aspiring rappers" as they acquire skills needed to transform themselves into legitimate emcees. It also lets the viewers into the world of Hip-Hop before the platinum sales, cars, jewelry and limelight. Our contestants are of all make-ups and backgrounds from single fathers to balancing two and three jobs. We hope to bring their clouded illusion of waiting to become a rapper in a dose of reality.
